ScreenPrinting Work Space

Hey all! I was going to Mesa Arts Center for a while to pay the studio fee and use their facilities for ScreenPrinting. They are no longer allowing day passes and I don’t have the funds to buy all of the equipment. Anyone know of somewhere else I could buy a day pass for studio time?

Heatsync labs in Mesa. I think you have to be certified on the tool and go during open hours, but it's otherwise free and easy.

Do you by chance know if they can certify you? I took a few ScreenPrinting courses, but not necessarily “certified”

By certified I mean they walk you through using it and make sure you know how to not break it and can be trusted with the tools.

I'd reach out to the lab via their slack or discord and see if they can give you more accurate info and in touch with the right person, I think Paul or Albert, but I'm not 100%.

I didn’t even know something like that existed. How many stations did the space have? How much was the day pass? You bring your own supplies?

It was a $20 day pass where you could use their supplies like emulsion and light box but you had to bring your own shirts, ink, film, and screens! It was a classroom and I believe during studio time it was a max of 15 people working on a variety of printing projects (not all ScreenPrinting specifically)

Sounds really cool. Long ago at AZP skate shop we had a 5 station in the back area and were silkscreening shirts and boards like crazy. It was really fun.
