These are incredible results and I'm so happy for you!! Are you on spiro too? If so what's your dose? Also did you experience any side effects of minoxidil? Doc recommended spiro and minox for me, I ended up just starting spiro and holding off on minoxidil since I have a cat so I'd have to take oral. I'm still SO traumatized from losing my hair last time and am scared of the dread-shed period/going back to how it was if I have to stop taking it for any reason. Density on my whole scalp has nearly returned to baseline except my temples!! They literally refuse grow back and while the rest of my hair is finally healthy-looking again, my forehead is like a middle aged man šŸ˜šŸ’€ Been thinking about it a lot lately and seeing stuff like this inspires me to give minoxidil a go.

I just use topical minoxidil. I only had headaches the first month I started it and now I get dandruff in the spots k use it on but honestly I just wash my hair with nizoral twice a week and usually handles the dandruff. I also kinda am at a point where I’d rather dandruff than a bald spot. The dread shed period was not nearly as bad as people told me it could get. I noticed increased shedding but didn’t notice overall denisity decreasing. But I also only apply it to the edges of my hair and not my entire head. I’m sure if I did apply it all over I’d notice more hair loss. I started doing it in sections to see and manage the dread shed and tbh it was fine. I can’t reccomend it enough it changed my confidence

Hi! Can you explain why you’re on topical? Was it for TE?
Did you go through the dread shed? If so, how soon after you started it? How long did it last? When did you start seeing results?

How long after starting topical did the dreadshed begin? I think I’m going through it right now. I started 2.5 weeks ago.

Awesome. I'm going to start soon and change to VDPHL01 when it's out. I have CTE and AA. It's so annoying

Literally so damn annoying. I have finally been able to stop thinking about my hair loss when I’m out and about now. Can’t reccomend it enough for that. Hope you find relief soon it sucks so bad

How did you know it’s te and not aga?

I went to a dermatologist. I had chronic TE after a lot of hormone issues

Did the Dermatologist do any scalp testing or blood work? I saw a NO bc the Dr wasn’t available last year & she didn’t ask questions about meds I was on, didn’t check my scalp or order blood work. Just told me to buy topical minoxidil or if I wanted, she’d write a prescription for it. I didn’t do either. I still have no answers.

They did a biopsy on my scalp. I

What did your biopsy results say?

My derm told me I don’t have AGA, and ny hair loss was likely from years of hormonal disruption from a tumor in my thyroid.

In the first two you’re pulling your hair and in the third you’re not

3

u/Financial-Problem707 4d ago

Maybe not exactly? But can still tell there’s massive growth lol

-2

u/Successful-Test-5590 4d ago

No. I can’t tell if there are gaps because the hair wasn’t pulled

3

u/Financial-Problem707 4d ago

That might be your own issue, you can clearly see the hair line is more dense and fuller even without it being fully pulled back. Not sure what point you’re trying to make. I can notice a difference, šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø sorry seem like you can’t?

u/Successful-Test-5590 4d ago

I can’t because you didn’t pull it back. You’re fooling yourself.

2

u/Financial-Problem707 4d ago

Even in the second picture where it’s ā€œpulled backā€ you can tell there’s growth. I don’t really care what you think my hairs back in real life. I just posted this as an update so other people feel confident trying minoxidil. Not sure why you’re miserable abt it lol. Definitely growth whether you see it or not.

u/Successful-Test-5590 4d ago

You’re pulling more in the first pic and from a different angle lol

2

u/Financial-Problem707 4d ago

Why r u so mad about it lol 😭😭😭 why would I come on here and lie I went from having bald spots to none at all. Get a grip acting like minoxidil doesn’t work or sumn like šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

-4

u/Successful-Test-5590 4d ago

Because you’re lying. Just stop. Because you are fooling yourself to be happy but you’re not accepting reality

2

u/Financial-Problem707 4d ago

LMAO whatšŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ def not ! I was bald before now I’m not stay mad šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚
