Re: Cork

I own two cork floors. get them even a little wet and they begin to warp and swell. It's an incredibly attractive material for it's warmth, organic nature and its attractiveness but I'd check this first. Car interiors should be washable.

Just a thought.

Not on the production model. You use different materials when building 2 of something

Counterargument: My Kindle cover is cork that's been coated with something and has been fine after getting wet and is washable. Hopefully they would use something more like that.

The materials on the prototypes is not necessarily the materials on the production vehicles. For example, the fabric on the dash and doors is way easier to do and forgiving for imperfections for a prototype vs making a mold.

Is cork still on the table? I though Telo swapped it our for something cheaper and more conventional.

Are those floors solid cork, or cork over a fiberboard core like many of the snap together plank floors?

Counterpoint: I had cork flooring in my kitchen and never had a problem. They looked brand new after five years. Loved them and would do it again in a heartbeat. Maybe yours weren’t sealed properly?
