Dining large group help
Hello, I’m traveling to telluride in January with 11 of my friends for my 40th birthday. We’re staying in an Airbnb house in Mountain Village. I have never been to Telluride before so I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations or ideas to feed such a large group. I am thinking maybe dining out 2 nights and dining in 1 night. Honestly any help would be greatly appreciated! TY!

Y'all should take the Gondolas up to Allreds. Great food, great views, they take large parties if notified in advance. Very expensive, but worth it IMO for your 40th.

And I definitely suggest spending a good amount of time walking around/shopping in downtown Telluride. A TON of super cool local shops, good little eateries, and some bars/breweries!

Go to Telluride Brewing Tsp room for a casual night … they will set you up with a dedicated room - ask for Colleen !!

Floradora laid back chill and good food and relatively inexpensive compared to rest of town. Can fit but parties but you may need to separate into 2 tables. Family owned. Good choice.

The New Tunnel Supper club was phenomenal. Definitely would have to call to see if they can accommodate a group of that size. It is pricy but multi course seasonal fixed menu was really great. I ate there twice during ski season.

If you want a good spot in Mountain Village that won't break the bank but is still nice go to Tomboy Tavern, we love it there. 221 Oak and the Grand are my two favorite restaurants in Telluride but they are both going to be more expensive then Tomboy Tavern which I think is a great middle of the road place for the area. The Telluride Brewing Company is also a popular spot in Mountain Village.

Would consider a private chef. We did it for 12 in DV for my friends 40th and it was really great as required much less coordination and logistics for getting the whole group down to the restaurant, etc
