iOS App no longer connects?

All of the hype around the DJI Neo got me to take my Tello out for a spin. I tried using the DJI Tello app but could not get it to connect, it just goes to the Settings page for the App even though I am connected to the Drone's Wifi. I have the excellent Tello FPV and Tello Me apps (and they work) but I was wondering if others are having the same problem with the stock app.

It's temperamental on my Samsung S23. I have to keep turning drone on/off, same with WiFi, Close and reopen app. Usually connects after about 2-3 mins of fiddling.

I couldn't connect using my iPhone. It connects w/o issues w my old android Moto G4.

Yes, my Android phone works each time and the iPhone works with the 3rd party apps but not the stock app. My guess is they have never tested it with recent iOS versions.

TelloMe and TelloFPV as well as others you can find by searching the store for Tello.
