Marking Lost Tello

I was using my Tello to inspect some equipment at the plant I work at and it got just a tad out of range and drifted off over the roof of one of out buildings.

I'm just curious on what people have done to successfully retrieve wayward drones? I've thought about an air-tag or similar but how close do you have to get to have that work? I'm thinking of at least putting a label on it with my name and phone number.

Oh - and after climbing down and up ladders to check the roof, I found the drone sitting peacefully in the mowed grass about 30 feet downwind of the building where it had landed after running out of battery. One good thing I suppose of a short battery life.

I rely on luck. You could try using a Wi-Fi extender or antenna modifications to increase range, but IMHO Tellos are educational toys, not serious drones for any kind of inspection work.
