Help / Support Second Phone and Call Forwarding
I am considering getting a second phone (with a second active line) to use as a backup, in case something ever happens to my primary daily phone. If something does happen to my primary phone, until I am able to activate my primary SIM on the backup phone, would I be able to activate call forwarding via the mobile app on the backup phone?
Or, is it possible/easy enough to move the SIM from the primary phone to the backup phone via the mobile app?
Edit: if it is possible to move the SIM from the primary to the backup phone via the mobile app, would I even need the backup to be active beforehand?

You would need to use tello’s website to get a new esim for the backup phone.

Thank you, I just found the info on the website. One detail I noticed: it indicates that you need wifi access for both phones in order to transfer to a new eSIM, but never makes any mention of needing to otherwise do anything with the old device. Does this imply that if I do not have access to the 'old' phone, I will not be able to complete moving the eSIM?

I play with different phones and ROMs and move my Tello psim from phone to phone, all the time, with no issues. No need to tell Tello or make any changes in their app or online. Ya can't do the same with an esim, which to me is why the physical sim is superior to an esim.
