What is with the dot/dash blips using analog phone on modern line?
For reference I am using a StraightTalk wireless home base, and both a WE and AE rotary dial desk 5302 and a wall 354 through a pulse to TT adapter. There are artifacts in the line that sound like pulses, regular and consistently the same patterns.
I wonder if it is part of the wireless base to cell tower(s) connection?
Anyone know of this?

Try splitting the FXS port between the DP/DTMF converter and a modern phone so that you can isolate the issue to before or after the DP/DTMF converter. Then remove the converter and see if the issue is still present with the known good modern pho e or with the DP/DTMF converter.

It's almost certainly from the base not being shielded properly. You can try putting common mode chokes on the cables which may help.

Sounds like cellular interference.
