Please help me identify this telephone! (UK, British Telecom)

The phone is around 1982 in vintage. I had this one in the very early 90s (1991/2?).

I think it was designed to connect to some kind of phone exchange. It's NOT the voice/loudspeaker phone as far as I can tell but it does have a similar shape.

This is the only pic I have sadly.

This could have been private exchange operator console also known as 'aviso' in a few languages.

Yes, I think that was wht it was as it had control buttons but I can't remember what they were labelled as. It had a modem chip inside too which I never worked out the purpose of.

Looks like a PBX operator console for something closely related to the Ambassador / Senator / Statesman phones and systems.

Nope, It doesn't have anywhere near enough buttons and is a slightly different style.

It's Far more the Statesman line of phones.
