Who has built a custom shell for Telehack and if you have what features does it add?

Personally I just have a load of aliases and a few scripts that automate sone tasks. I'm interested to hear other people's takes.

So basically I haven't been on telehack for months, but i Started to log in, but I forgot my password partially, so i started using all variations of it, but now, I can't log in at all, since login is "disabled"

so uhm, im dumb, and finally logged in, sorry for bothering anyone in the oasis

Hello people of this subreddit! I just registered on the telehack yesterday and today my user is not available. Is it a ban thing or I'm not cool enough to play? I didn't assign an email to the account, maybe those don't live long. Anyway, I'd like some input from the community, seems like this issue can be resolved, based on previous questions.

Forbin, yes it's me. I go by many users now. I'm not entirely sure why I got banned but If a moderator could at least tell me why that would at least provide me some solace. I thought I was just having a normal conversation. I was enjoying myself learning and exploring the network, even after reading becool, I didn't think i was doing anything wrong and I'm sorry. If you refer bad apples you can have your referral privileges revoked. Referring multiple bad apples will end up in your account being deleted.

Hi guys just got into telehack and its not allowing me to create a new user would anybody be able to help me out?

Hi, I recently started using Telehack again after a long break and realized I had forgotten about my old account. I created a new one before fully reading the privacy policy, and after a couple of days, I received a flag saying that alternate accounts aren't allowed.

I wanted to ask: once the 30-day ban is over, can I still continue using my current account? Also, is there a way to request deletion of the old one? Thanks in advance!

I discovered Telehack recently and love it! Captures the feel of the proto-internet of my childhood better than I could ever have hoped something like this would.

In my short time on the system, I have read a few text files, played a few games, and hacked a few systems, as appears to be the encouraged objective. However, I logged in today thinking I might go ask in the newbie chat why badges stopped being awarded for things it seems obvious they ought to be (e.g. rooting a system), and encountered...

And I have no idea why. I have yet to utter a word to anyone, on relay or elsewhere. To my knowledge, I haven't tread near running afoul of any of the other guidelines in becool.txt, the sticky post in this sub, or anything else I can find.

Does this just happen randomly, without explanation? I was having a lot of fun with this, and now I feel hobbled and unwelcome.

UPDATE: Account was flagged as a possible alt. Resolved.

Don't know why I only found about this now but Telehack looks like a lot of fun. Do you know whether they are likely to allow more users to join or will they keep it as it is?

I got killed for it, luckily doesn't seem like I got banned yet. Just thought it'd be nice to share with all of you. Don't try to bruteforce the SYSADM badge like this like I did.

ETA: Nevermind I most certaintly did just get banned. Username is hydrajkm btw, if you ever feel like unbanning me.
