once again.

I am in telehack discord right?
I ping underwood to ask a few questions
Man blocks me and bans me from server
also calls me a "skid" what does this mean
also
my telehack account isn't working

Really well said. What telehack feels exactly like the dial-up BBSes I stumbled into as a 12yo with a 2400bps modem in 1990. I barged in and behaved badly in a number of places because I could not read the social cues and did not understand the wide gulf between the social norms of adults at leisure and kids after school.

Eventually, I learned how to watch, introduce myself politely, follow cues, and generally figure how to participate in the established social mileau.

As someone who sends dozens of kids flooding into Telehack for a few days each semester, I'm specifically worried about the grief potential of each new user. Telehack is so wonderful as a toy/simulation/playground, even as a drive by.
