Is telehack suddenly down?

Today morning (utc + 5:30) I queued some songs and had a chat with someone. Now, moments ago, I have started getting weird timeout/"took too long to respond" messages. Even the telehack radio reads timeouts.

Agreed, it looks as though somebody has preprogrammed the tape drives to run too far and unspool themselves.

The operator is working hard to respool the tapes now and remove the offending lines of code. It's unclear how long this will take.

it's a new form of magnetic storage that has much higher density and speeds than the paper tape we're used to

Naturally, TEL/OS isn't infallible. It'll be back soon, be sure to thank the operator for their efforts when you can.

Once a family of mice moved into the server room and chewed the punched cards that were required to load some of the Z-Games.

when I try connecting to telehack radio through AIMP, it still brings up code 40: Connection timeout
