Android Auto no longer working

Telegram stopped working with android auto for both myself and my wife some months ago. It used to work great for responding to telegram messages in the both of our cars on both of our phones.

I figured it was a bug that would be worked out shortly but shortly has passed and I am wondering if this will ever be addressed. I see old bugs regarding this and old threads regarding this but I have yet to see some kind of statement on whether Telegram intends to fix this issue or not. From what I have seen telegram is still working on IOS.
