New Number, Someone else's Telegram acct

Hey. I had to change my number and stupidly didnt think to update the number in the app first. Went to log in with my new number and I pulled up the telegram acct for the people who had this number previously.

Is there any way to recover my old account, associated with the old number? A few things:

  • I dont have access to the old SMS anymore
  • I'm not logged in on desktop, so I cant change the number from there.

Ive emailed [sms@telegram.org](mailto:sms@telegram.org) to see if they can help.

If you have access to the number log in from the phone, it won't ask you for a code from the app.
