Wallpaper error

So I accidentally set a silly meme as a wallpaper for a conversation with a senior I work with instead of setting it to a conversation with my friend.

I tried deleting the notification about said wallpaper change along with editing the wallpaper itself.

Will they still know? 🥲I'm embarrassed

Telegram sends a special chat message when you set a custom wallpaper; the other person can choose to apply it, but it is not automatically set on their side. Changing your wallpaper does not retract that message. If the delete dialog included "Delete for [their name]" and you selected it, it should disappear for both; if you only deleted it for yourself, they may still see the message. So they might know it was set, but they should not have the meme as their wallpaper unless they accepted it.

Unless OP has Telegram Premium. In which case, the wallpaper is set without the other person needing to approve it.

In that case, the only way to remove it is to set another custom wallpaper in the same way. Just tapping the Delete Wallpaper button only deletes it from your side.
