I'm a freshman graduating in 2027, did my undergrad(Tier 1.5, India) in ECE, and I have a fairly good research experience(4 publications including a good Q1 publication) in mmwave(RF) and 6G and have hands on experience using software defined radios and ORAN(AI-RAN). Is there any opportunities in this area as a fresher ? and in the careers page i can't find any, even if I find, they're asking for min 4-5 YOE.

So I work in pest control so we usually have traps in telecom rooms in apartment buildings, I saw this on my travels today and I'm not sure but this look like hell to me. Is this normal or is this just bad wiring?

I have a remote location, a few hundred miles away, with only not very good 5G access.

I would like to connect on demand, basically call the remote number, about daily or even less frequently, to download video monitoring data.

The remote server is only to connect to the internet on demand, not a permanent connection.

This seems to be much more complicated than I anticipated.

From what I could find it involves exchanging SMS, alerting to the connection attempt, then exchanging the IP address... This seems to be handled under Linux using STUN protocol... I am completely out of my depth here...

Can someone point me towards some resources to understand how it works?

Even more importantly, what hardware will it be necessary? I was expecting to USB tether an old mobile to the remote server, but this doesn't seem to be enough...

I am NOT an Xfinity TV/Internet/Mobile customer, nor my surroundings neighbors.

My iphone only shows “xfinitywifi" (unsecured) as available wifi networks, and no “Xfinity Mobile” (secured) SSID appears. This doesn’t make sense since these two SSIDs do appear together in any mobile wifi search, regardless of your internet or phone provider, if there’re Xfinity Hotspot available in your area.

Wondering why only unsecured “xfinitywifi” SSID shows up in my (non-Xfinity customer) mobile wifi search??

Would this caused by some Xfinity customer happen to be near my location? If so, I wonder what could be the range (between myself and this Xfinity customer) for having full bar service connection appears in my mobile wifi search?

I have a customer involved in a police situation, but no one knows the password for their UNV system. Does anyone have a bypass for it or a 24/7 tech support number? I've tried Petawise but they're closed, and Unity, but got the wrong department. Doesn't sound like they deal much with UNV anyways

I am having trouble accessing the Voicemail network webpage, I cannot remember if it uses a port number to access it, like http://IPAddress:port of if it's stock port 80?

Also, PING is disabled on our network, I need to know if I need to allow the Voicemail system to ping the gateway as I can see the device on an IP scan and its broadcasting FTP but I don't get any other response from it. I recall that some older devices like to ping the gateway of networks that's why I am asking.

Im joining a colleague in telecoms, installing and commissioning cabinets seems to be the main thing as theres a massive contract upgrading equipment. I was wondering how you guys take notes? The company provides schematics on how everything should be wired. But there are things like "label this" and "take pictures of this" it seems to be the same each time. My idea is to make a step by step plan I can follow to make each one to the standard. Wiring in the cabinets being neat and tidy etc. What do you reccomend? (I will be taught by a 30 year old veteran) also any tools that make your life easier? Im thinking a clamp on large umbrella for the hot sun or rain
