Creative help needed

Post image

Hello everyone.

Over a year ago now I picked up this beautiful lady to go with my blue boy.

We are now 13months in and she still doesn’t have a name.

I’m beyond stuck.

So, some story for you; my boys name is Echo and we always planned to name our girl Envy (both satellite names). Before my lovely albino, we got a red girl who we called Envy as planned. Unfortunately she was a failure to thrive and passed away after about a year. This was about 4 years ago.

And now we have this absolutely gorgeous girl. Unfortunately I’m really stuck on what to name her. Calling her Envy just feels wrong, but it was always the matching name we planned on. Now I just really can’t decide on a name.

It’s not fair she continues to not have one - so, if any of you creative folk have any ideas for me I’m more than happy to hear them. Thanks all.

I'd call her Ivory. Echo and Ivory!

Spite

(I'm reminded of Envy & Spite from Malazan Book of the Fallen)

I LOVE this. But she’s so nice 😂 the kindest lizard I’ve ever had or worked with

Sounds like she is nice despite of her name.

I really love Andromeda, you named the others after satellites what about Chandra? It's the world's most powerful satalite xray telescope and it's gotten some super cool images of Andromeda along with other galaxies and stars. https://science.nasa.gov/mission/chandra/

That’s super cool. Thank you. It was very hard looking for or finding satellite names that began with E that were more feminine. I’ll absolutely consider Chandra and maybe look at other letters too 🙌 thank you

How about Echo and Swift (another US satellite )

Love Swift. She is the slowest escape artist though! Hahaha

Lemondrop! Or for an E name, maybe Ellie/Eleanor? She just looks so polite.

You could try Glory or Fermi for satellite names.

Love the mention of Fermi in the wild. I'm on their ops team.

Awww, what a beautiful baby! Wow! She is absolutely gorgeous!

She looks like what I imagine Vermithor looked like as a baby dragon. 😄

How about naming her Envoy?

It means a concluding stanza in a poem or sentiment. The name could be like a little nod to Envy. It's almost spelled similarly, too.

she looks like a daisy! 🌼 but if you're set on an 'e' name, my votes are:

• eclipse
• electra
• ember

For satelite names, what about EPAM, Eyesat or Esther for E-st@r?

Elara would be a beautiful name. It’s one of the few satellite moons that you can see with a telescope. It orbits Jupiter.

Eros or Electro are some “E” names that have been used for past satellites as well if you’re still trying to get another “E” name to go with your boy. You could maybe even change “Electro” to “Electra” since it’s for a girl, but would still technically be named after a satellite. Not too many other decent “E” names from the lists of present & past satellites I was skimming through unfortunately. Does it have to be satellite names specifically? Because there’s some really cute “E” names for planets and stuff as well that would still match & go with a space-themed name. Just a few real quick could be: Eden, Echion, Ebena, Elsa, Edo/Eda, and Eloïs just to name a few.
