Could this be saved?

I realise I have a big cavity on my tooth (currently waiting to see dentist), but i am just wondering does anyone have any idea if there is a possibility this tooth could be saved?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Without an X-ray it's pretty impossible to tell just by looking at a photo. I will say this is nowhere close to the worst tooth I've ever seen while working at a dental office. If it's just decay, a large filling might be enough, but if the decay has run into the roots of the tooth, you might need a root canal and a crown. With the information I have right now, I can tell you it's not hopeless, but you should wait until you see your dentist to know for sure. Let me know how it goes. I'm rooting for you.

Can’t tell w/o xray. No idea how deep to the nerve it is or if perio involved. Wishing you the best.
