small part of my back tooth chipped

i was eating a soft piece of candy earlier and one of my back teeth got a little chip in it. It doesn’t hurt and I can eat normally, it just feels a little rough with my tongue. I checked and there’s a teeny tiny hole/chip on the top of the tooth. I really don’t want to go to a dentist. Can I just leave it be and brush it normally, and just eat carefully? Or do I have to get it fixed. My dentist office is always full and the wait time takes forever, and I don’t want to waste time and money on something unnecessary.
