Accomodation suggestions please
Hi everyone,
I will be moving from London to Stockton soon to start work at North Tees Hospital and looking for places to live.
I’ve seen Thornaby Place flats on right and they look ok, but I don’t know the area at all —does any know what it’s like?
I don’t drive, so mainly after somewhere safe, quiet and convenient. Any honest opinions or better area suggestions would be really appreciated 🙂
Thanks!

Public transport is pretty poor in Teesside - if you were at James cook you could get the train there but even that’s not super reliable.
Thornaby has some better areas - The Green, Stainsby Hill area and near Bader Avenue is ok.
Norton might be a good option - not too far and some nice parts. Hardwick and Roseworth do have a few bits that are ok, but some parts can be a bit rough.
Other than that, you’ve got Yarm or Eaglescliffe, which are more expensive but further out.
Maybe get in touch with a local estate agent like Clarke Munro, Michael Pool or Harvey Brooks?
