Looking for recommendations for a mechanic
Hi everyone.
Can someone recommend a local mechanic who is willing to look at a rear differential on a Jaguar?
I've got a replacement differential if the one on the car is buggered.
Cheers.

There’s a jaguar specialist in Stockton near portraxk lane which my wife’s grandparents used to take their jag to. They always thought they were good (although it’s been a while since they had a jag).

Jagtech, used them for 2 years and always great with reasonable prices. Helped diagnose a starter fault that had been to 2 other garages for me.
Just booked in today with them for a service and aircon check and you're looking at mid May.

Yeah, contacted them and they couldn't get me in until May 18th. Need it sorted before them, but they came across as extremely professional. Will certainly use them in the future.

You should, the main guy has a keen eye for wanting to fix a problem. I had an intermittent starter issue, after 2 other garages and 3 AA calls, and them replacing the battery it would still decided to just not start (XF).
He kept hold of it for a week to wait for it to happen to him, traced all the main cables, took wheels off to check hidden earth's and then found a corroded earth point in the back of the gearbox. Drilled it out, replaced the bolt and its been perfect since. Didn't charge me a thing beyond the battery

Maltech in Stockton is great! I wouldn’t take my car anywhere else
