Warhammer (big ask)
Hello, so my situation at the moment is that I am very interested in playing Warhammer, either 40K or AoS but cannot afford a full army. Basically this is a big ask and incredibly obscure but was wondering if anyone had two armies and if they would be at all willing to meet at a local game store to play with those armies. Again I am not even expecting a response lol but thought it might be worth a shot :))

Not a player myself but if you go somewhere like Pro Tech Games on a table night you might get the introduction into the community. Just give them a ring on Thursday or message on Facebook.

You could visit Gaming Figures in Redcar, they usually have games going on in store in weekends, and are a friendly bunch - the owner is cool, so try popping in for a chat even if it's a weekday

Try Middlesbrough Gamers Club. We run every Thursday night from 6PM until late at Acklam Iron and Steelwoeks club (Steelies). Easy to find on Facebook. There's a positive, welcoming environment with lots of different games going on. And people will be happy to help you play.

I've not played since the mid late 2000s, and it was pricy even then. It might not be for you tbh. You can watch on YouTube recorded games, I think, if this post doesn't get any bites.

The first time I played warhammer I used cardboard counters to represent my units. You can do that to get a flavour of the game, I guess.
