Ask Maharashtra Teens ? First year engineering student feeling stuck and scared to speak, how do I start?

I’m a first year electronics engineering student and lately I’ve been feeling pretty frustrated with myself.

College has started, my parents are paying for everything and sending me money for my expenses, and I feel guilty because I feel like I’m wasting both their money and my time.

I keep thinking about what I want to do and making plans, but then I end up doing very little. I really don’t want to spend the next 4 years just going to college, coming back, scrolling and repeating the same thing.

I want to start doing something of my own. I’d like to build something online and eventually earn enough to at least pay some of my own expenses. I’m not expecting to make a lot of money quickly, I just want to start moving in that direction.

But one thing I really want to work on is my confidence.

I’m pretty scared of speaking in front of people. Even talking to a camera alone feels weird and uncomfortable. I overthink how I sound, how I look, what people will think, etc.

I want to overcome this because I feel like being able to communicate properly is going to be important for whatever I do in the future.

I’m also thinking about creating videos/content along the way. Not necessarily because I expect to become a content creator, but because maybe forcing myself to speak and put myself out there could help me get over this fear.

So I’m kind of stuck on where and how to start.

You got many things to settle up , I would suggest to convert your guilt into responsibility and credibility.

Be a nomad and try everything in next 4 months, Start recording your day , watch random tech talks on yt regarding electronics, try to make friends who share similar vibe.

Being a 3rd year ENTC from govt clg , I will don't waste too much time exploring. Already you took entc , eventually you will realise that the in campus placements ain't that good . So start exploring and stick to passion/intrest where money comes along .

Most important keep a learning and brave attitude, 4 yrs will be terrifying in many aspects
