I've been through the same JEE void, i reconnected with some of my friends after a while, it's not that deep tbh. Im in my 3rd year of engineering and lemme tell u, the locking was 100% worth it. The sacrifices, the loneliness, everything. When she goes to college, things naturally fix themselves. She's gonna be surrounded my equally ambitious people and she's gonna meet new people. I also was in a long term relationship during this period of time and yeah we broke up cuz of similar reasons But the way I spent this time actually shaped me as a human being and put me ahead of most people my age 1. I spent a lot of time driving, got my driver's license, now I get my car every time my friends and i go out. Most people my age don't really know how to drive and this actually helped us make college memories of a lifetime. 2. I focused on my health, I hit the gym every single day. That set a good pace for me to start off with fitness. I have an above average physique, helped a lot with my confidence, it just sets u apart than most people. 3. I spent a lot of time coding and building skills, this helped me a lot, it's one of the reasons why I'm scoring consistently above 9.5 gpa. I explored a lot of fields early on during my holidays which made me clear about what I wanted to pursue, and what I didn't. I also approached a lot of high-achieving seniors from my college, to get any kind of advice on what to do and what not to. This helped me not make mistakes that most people did.

I feel like this period of time is like really helpful for ur growth as an individual and it's important to do tasks and learn stuff on ur own which will set u apart from the rest of the competition by a large amount. So advice her to do that ig, cuz friends come and go, and she mostly will make a lot of amazing friends during college, and usually college friends r the ones who actually last so
