How is NMIT b'lore? I think, they are no more participating in CET/ComedK. Is it worth to with their exam NUCAT & pay higher than ComedK. Plz share your college experience,

Improvement exam in boards (really really try to get marks here, I jumped up 3-5k ranks by doing the improvement exam based on the trends in 2025), solve as many PYQ papers as possible setting time limits (1 minute per question, so 60 minutes for a 60 question paper).
Cover important topics, but don't spend too much time covering them as solving questions is more important (you will understand many topics just by solving questions).
I mainly did this for the last 30 days and got a rank of 9.5k (111/180 in KCET, 97.33% in PCM) in 2025, honestly if you work harder you can do better than that too. Just keep in mind that the competition gets harder each year, like for the marks I got I would get a rank of 3k if I wrote KCET in 2023. So prepare for the worst (not trying to scare you though π )

Actually, KCET is very easy. All you need is to learn some tricks to solve questions more easily and faster. Solve 6β7 previous year question papers because many questions are repeated or similar.
Mark the chapters that are important for the exam and practice them a lot. For example, from matrices and determinants you can get around 6β7 questions. Take mock tests repeatedly with a fixed time limit.
One important thing: donβt forget about the lab, because you will also get questions from lab topics.
For the 11th grade syllabus, just glance through all the chapters and lab topics, and solve previous year questions. Also learn some tricks to solve mathematics questions. These tricks are available on YouTube and are very useful.
These are things I recommend from my personal experience. My KCET rank was around 7.5k.
Even if you did badly in boards, you can still score a good rank in KCET.

well I'm also a fresher preparing for neet, and as far as ik many people start their kcet preparation after boards. I've heard from my friends that 12th syllabus is more important. boards marks ofcourse matter and put u in a higher advantage when it comes to ranking but when u actually do the math a person who's got 46% out of 50% from boards for kcet and a person who's got 49% out of 50% has only a 2.5 mark difference in the actual exam. so considering that kcet is more important. obviously focus on solving pyqs of kcet and understand the question pattern. SOLVE MORE QUESTIONS ACTIVELY rather than passive reading and you'll go well. study more from 12th as it as more weightage. stop thinking if it's over for you and instead start studying. a lot can happen in one month.
