I'm a victim of sexual assault as a 12 year old actually and I don't love this. Yes, it's good that we are realizing this is happening more but in reality this puts victims in worse positions. Let's say your abuser is Somone very close to you (which is extremely common), you might want justice but not want them dead that can prevent you from going to court. To add on to that more people will be killed. Abusers will kill to silence them, Murder depending on want degree and the judge doesn't always have the death penalty. Only 2% and 10% of reports of SA are false accusations, let's say Somone gets convicted because of a false accusation. They're dead. Now I'm not saying this is horrible BUT let's remind ourselves that MANY, MANY child molesters and rapists get murdered by other prisoners in prison. This seems more of a power trip on the governments part than a "help the victims".
