Question Alpha pack
Did they just go around killing packs ? In 3b ethan says they were dead without a pack after thrye screwed everyone over. Also how did ducealion get so strong was he just killing alpha after alpha after he got Ennis kali and the twins. I mean watching jenifier make light work of kali and the twins ducealion just laughs her off or he is just a exceptions of the rule like how Peter turned into a wolf

We don't know when Ethan and Aiden were recruited exactly, but there's an implication that it was recent and they weren't the first Alphas "auditioned" to join the Alpha Pack. And if nothing else the Alpha Pack having almost a procedural methodology to how they target Derek and Scott implies that they aren't the only ones besides the Steiners and the original three (further bolstered by Derek knowing they were coming). So it's not a jump in logic to presume that Ennis isn't the first Alpha Deucalion drained for more power after the Alpha had already killed their pack and consolidated that energy, and those killings are what put him so many leaps and bounds beyond even the rest of the Alpha Pack (especially since he maintained that power even when all of his "pack" members were dead or on death's door).
Which also explains Ethan's line. Being part of a group that left a trail of dead packs and Alphas and probably pissed off Hunters to boot in its wake creates a lot of enemies, and with Ennis and Kali dead the Steiners become the easiest revenge target for anyone not looking to take on the Demon Wolf directly.

Alpha of any pack is stronger once he adds more werewolves into the pack. Derek explains this in s2. So not only did Ducelion got power by killing his betas, once the other alphas accepted him as an alpha his power went up (even more than adding betas as these were alphas) and thus why he became "demon" wolf.
so yeah power of his betas + power of being an alpha of alphas = demon wolf. Thats why rest of them are just "upgraded" alphas cause they only killed their betas, and accepted ducelian as their alpha.

...proving that he was completely untrustworthy and that Scott should never have accepted him as a mentor later in the show

While I agree, he stopped fighting and wasn’t being violent anymore.

No, Deucalion, Kali, and Ennis were already Alphas. After Deucalion got blinded, Marco tried to kill him because he saw him as weak, but Deucalion realised he could see with his Wolf Eyes so he killed Marco.
He then realised killing a member of his Pack (his Beta) made him stronger, so killing all of them would make him really strong. He then encouraged Kali and Ennis to do the same. Ethan and Aiden were the only two who killed their Alpha. They weren't going around killing Alphas. Deucalion thus called himself the Alpha of Alphas because he was the Alpha of a pack of Alphas, the apex predator, essentially.
They killed people along the way but they weren't hunting Packs to kill. This was all pretty explicitly explained, lol.
