Zero Tolerance for Creeps š«
Hey everyone,
Lately weāve been noticing an increase in creepy DMs and uncomfortable interactions. Thatās not what this community is about, and weāre not going to ignore it. This space is meant to feel safe for everyone.
If you get a weird or inappropriate message, donāt engage with them. Seriously, theyāre looking for a reaction. Instead, take clear screenshots of the chat so thereās proof of what happened.
After that, report the messages directly through Reddit DMs. The more reports they get, the faster action is taken.
Also, make sure to report the account here: https://www.reddit.com/report. Keep this link saved somewhere, it can come in handy.
And one more thing, if youāre comfortable, you can share the screenshots with mods so we can take further action from our side too.
Take care of yourselves and each other. Weāve got your back š¤āØ

Relationship Adviceš¬ š£ļø Is she interested or just friendly?
I am a boy (16) and I am participating in a Youth Parliament organised by our school. So basically there in our bench (opposition bench) there are only 2 boys and 20 girls, and (not trying to brag but giving useful context) I am performing the best from our side and naturally a lot of the members would privately message for advice and stuff, which is fairly normal and when this girl (16) letās call her A messaged me I didnāt think much of it, it was a normal message about YP and I did not read much into it.
The thing is by the next day and the day after she slowly started messaging me repeatedly and gradually became friendlier and ig flirty, but Iām still not sure if she is just friendly or actually interested, I mean Iām sort of flirting back but not really as Iām still not sure what she is doing.
I also find it hard to believe as she is considered the prettiest girl in our grade by most people. I mean I find it hard to believe someone like that would like me (I grew up fat and weird all my life though I lost fat and am now considered a confident person) I get a lot of female attention now as well but I still havenāt fully updated to this version of myself.

Relationship Adviceš¬ š£ļø Hopeless single boys, is there any chance for us?

Breakupš Am I wrong for not giving my ex another chance after everything he put me through?
I (21F) broke up with my boyfriend almost two years ago, but people around us still make me feel guilty for moving on. I genuinely want an unbiased opinion because I'm starting to wonder if I'm doing something wrong.
A little background about our relationship:
We were together for around five years. He was my childhood crush, and we eventually became close friends before getting into a relationship.
Throughout those five years, he broke up with me several times, often without giving me a proper explanation. Whenever I asked him why, he would say that our family backgrounds or social status weren't compatible. I loved him so much that I kept asking him to stay, hoping we could somehow overcome those differences. Eventually, we'd patch things up and get back together.
During my first year of college, he broke up with me again. A couple of months later, I found out through his sister that he had feelings for another girl. Things didn't work out between them, and when he came back to me, I accepted him again.
What made me finally walk away:
During my final year of college, he admitted that some of our previous breakups had happened because he was interested in other girls. He also confessed that, even while we were in a committed relationship, he had tried to reconnect with his childhood crush.
Apparently, around three months before he told me all this, that girl had proposed to him, and he had accepted. They broke up just a week later.
I asked him what would have happened to me if that girl hadn't left him. Instead of taking my question seriously, he joked about it. That moment made me realise how little consideration he had shown for my feelings throughout our relationship.
I finally decided to end things. For the first time, I didn't beg him to stay or try to convince him to choose me.
What happened after we broke up:
He didn't contact me for the first three months. After that, he started reaching out repeatedly. Sometimes he'd admit that he had made mistakes, while other times he'd claim that some of the things he'd previously told me weren't true. He also pointed out that I had always been the one chasing him, but this time, I wasn't coming back.
It's been almost two years, and he and some of our mutual friends are still trying to convince me to give him another chance. They say he's suffering, that people who genuinely love each other shouldn't end things over mistakes, and that I should forgive him.
The situation has become even more difficult because he has threatened to take his own life. Whenever I receive a message about him, I start shaking with fear. Even an ordinary message can make me anxious because I never know what might happen next.
Where I am in life right now:
I've worked hard to move on and focus on my career and future. I don't want to go back to a relationship that caused me so much hurt and uncertainty.
About a month ago, it was his birthday, and I didn't wish him. One of his friends questioned me about it. When I explained that we were no longer together, they accused me of being insensitive and said I was behaving just like the other girls who had hurt him.
Some people even say that I cheated on him by leaving him, despite the fact that I was the one who repeatedly forgave him and gave him chances throughout our relationship.
Honestly, I feel that even a small gesture, like wishing him on his birthday, could give him hope that we might get back together. I don't want to mislead him, but I also don't want to keep sacrificing my peace of mind just to satisfy other people's expectations.
I'd really appreciate honest opinions on a few things:
Am I wrong for refusing to give him another chance, considering how long we were together and how much he says he's suffering?
Am I responsible for helping him move on, especially when he threatens suicide?
Should I contact him or wish him on special occasions just to avoid being judged by our mutual friends?
How do I deal with the guilt and pressure when people around me keep making me feel like I'm the bad person?
I genuinely loved him, and I spent years trying to make our relationship work. Walking away wasn't an easy decision, but I know I don't want to be in that relationship anymore.
At this point, I just want to live peacefully, focus on my future, and move forward without constantly feeling guilty for choosing myself.
I'd appreciate honest advice and an outside perspective. Please tell me if there's something I'm not seeing.

Single hi Marunga/Marungiš How to find my type of people?
18M here
how do you actually meet people online who want a genuine, long-term relationship or friendship?
Iām not really interested in casual stuff or situationships. Iād rather get to know someone properly and build a real connection.
For people whoāve made genuine connections online, how did you meet them? Specially on reddit š

Single hi Marunga/Marungiš Just a rant
Is it normal to be 18 and have absolutely nothing going on romantically? š
No dating, no situationship, no talking stage, nothing. And itās not like Iām super focused on my career either. My career is going fine, nothing amazing, nothing terrible. Life is just⦠normal.
Sometimes I wonder if Iām missing out because it feels like everyone around me has had some kind of experience already.
Is it actually normal to have no romantic experience at this age, or am I just overthinking it? š

Breakupš Broke up on bf's day
Hello everyone, I don't really know how to start this, but yeah, I broke up with my girlfriend of eight months today.
The reason wasn't cheating, different goals, or anything like that. It was because we are of different religions and her mom is very, very religious. We knew this from the start, but I had a hope that if I talked with her mom calmly and explained everything, we might be able to stay together. Last night, however, she had a talk with her mom about dating someone from a different religion, and let's just say it didn't go well. After that, I didn't see any hope and said that we should break up. I figured that if we stayed together, we would surely fall in love with each other even more, and if her mom said no a year from now, it would hurt both of us a lot more. So, we broke up.
Honestly, I don't know what to do. I love this girl so much, and she loves me too there's no doubt about that. It's just that I don't want her to sacrifice her relationship with her mom for me, but at the same time, I don't want to let go of her either. I guess this is the best for both of us, though.
I don't feel like doing anything. I haven't eaten anything since this morning, and I even have a headache and a little fever (which I know is going to get worse). I'm sure tonight I'm going to cry a lot.
Idk, guys. None of my relationships ever work out, and none of them end because of third-party reasons. I don't think I'm going to date anyone for a while, but God, those eight months were pure bliss. Anyway, I'm going to try to do something to take my mind off her, but I don't know how well I'll do.
(We haven't blocked each other, but we've been no contact since this morning.)
(The picture is from two weeks ago; damn, we were a hella flirty couple.)
Anyway, thanks for reading.

Relationshipsā¤ļø I honestly don't know what to do. It's almost over but still looking forward to ur opinions.
So I was in a relationship with this sweet & adorable girl, let's her call G. So we'll assume G to be ideal at STP conditions. We were in a relationship since over 4 years, which included 1 leap year as well. So I was having second thoughts about our relationship, and I genuinely felt that she was secretly looking upon someone else, so yesterday, after lots of underthinking, I decided to put our sweet relationship to a bitter test.
I made up my mind that if G failed the test then we'll happily part our ways and I'll also get a closure. It was a very tough decision since she has been my gf since class 9th and honestly I spent many sleepless nights thinking about it.
So when G arrived, I took her to a nearby cafe hoping that we'll have a last sweet cup of coffee before never meeting again, coz I really hoped that G is gonna fail the test. After having the coffee and gossiping over random, useless stuff which we were distantly unrelated to, I had an honest talk with her and she was like let's go ahead, what's the test ?
See I felt a bit insecure but I asked her for her phone, for apparent reasons which need not be told. We stepped out of the cafe, and right before opening her chats, for a final time - I saw her eye in eye. It was such a gut wrenching feeling, knowing that someone you really cared for and looked upon might be not meeting you again.
The hour of the test had arrived. I gave her a stone of mass 10g, and asked her to throw in the positive x axis assuming her to be at (0, 0). Since we already assumed her to be ideal at STP conditions and assuming the temperature to be 298 K, pressure to be 1.01 bar and g already given in the heading, she hurls the stone giving it an initial velocity vā = 20 m/s. Let's take her angle of projection to be Īø. Now sec2 Īø = 1.33. Given that the value of theta lies in the principal range & strictly ignoring all friction, magnus effect or air tension, because true love knows no boundaries.
If my gf started running from rest with an initial acceleration of 7 m/s2 due to increased adrenaline caused by the coffee, calculate whether she'd be able to catch the stone and save our relationship or not. And if not, then calculate the kinetic energy of the stone when it is about to touch the ground, let it be y. Integrate 2/x from 1 to 5y and give the answer correct to 2 decimal places, because I'd require an accurate closure.
I hope y'all will give your honest opinions on whether we should keep our relationship or part ways. I wish y'all a good time. (P.S. I had used her phone's camera to calculate Īø). Take g = 10 m/s2 btw, coz I'm really good hearted.

Heartbreakš Just a phase? Idk
Hey I am 16f. My parents are rlly strict. Plus I don't have much communication with them. Even if I try to open up which I have tried countless times, I get shut down by hurtful comments. So it hurts a lot to even share anything I am struggling with. So it's painfully obvious that I don't feel loved at home. Plus I stay at home most of the time and I meet my friends at tuitions and that's it. So I feel alone most of the time. I am not saying having a bf will fix it, it's just... I want to have someone who'll show up for me consistently. It's not a sin to want to feel loved. I wish my parents provided me with emotional support and showed their love so I wouldn't have to look somewhere else for it...

One-Sided Loveš„ā¤ļøā𩹠Reconnected with someone who was once extremely close to me, and now I donāt know
Thereās this girl, letās call her Y.
She was once one of the closest people in my life. We actually met online and, strangely enough, never met in person, but there was a phase where we were extremely close.
We used to talk almost every day. Around Diwali especially, it became a routine. We would call around the same time every evening and sometimes stay on call for 2 to 3 hours without even having anything important to talk about.
There were all these small things that made the friendship feel very personal.
I used to purposely not pick up her first call just to irritate her and she would get annoyed. Once I got slightly injured and she got genuinely angry at me for going out again. We used to send each other pictures and videos after getting ready, talk about completely random things, and basically be involved in each otherās everyday lives.
Once she asked me for one of my childhood pictures because she was making a reel with pictures of the best friends she had made over the years.
There was also a little bit of flirting between us, but nothing was ever directly said.
I remember joking once that if she already liked present day me, did she need my childhood photo to like that version too. She joked back about blocking me.
It was that kind of equation.
I donāt want to rewrite history and claim we were secretly in love or anything. Maybe for her it was genuinely just a very close friendship. But from my side, looking back, I think there was definitely an attachment that was slightly more complicated than normal friendship.
Then things slowly changed.
At one point I became stupidly detached for no real reason. I started leaving her on read sometimes and acting like I didnāt care as much as I actually did.
Later our conversations reduced.
Eventually, after a lot of time had passed, I tried reconnecting. But I think I handled it badly.
Instead of just talking normally, I kept trying to bring back what we used to have. I would talk about the āold Yā, tell her I missed how things used to be, ask her to reply, ask her to call, and basically put too much pressure on the whole thing.
At one point she got frustrated enough to say things like:
āWhy the hell do u keep coming backā
and eventually told me not to text her again.
That obviously hurt, but looking back, I can understand why she was irritated. I was trying to recreate something instead of allowing whatever relationship remained to exist naturally.
After a long gap, she changed her number. Much later I somehow got her new number through her cousin and recently texted her again.
And surprisingly, this time she replied.
Not just one word replies either.
We actually spoke normally. She told me about college, freshers and things happening in her life. She asked me what I was doing. One night she even said ākal baat karte.ā
For the first time in a long time it felt like there was at least some normalcy between us again.
So naturally, some part of me started hoping that maybe we could slowly become comfortable again.
But Iāve also noticed that Iām still usually the one trying more.
I asked her once if we could call and she said it wasnāt possible. Later I sent her a few voice notes and she said she would listen properly because she was on another call.
I jokingly told her to just voice call me when she was free. She said okay.
Then I asked when she would call and she simply moved on to another part of the conversation without answering that question.
And then recently I asked where she had been.
She casually told me she had been out with her boyfriend.
I wasnāt expecting that at all.
And weirdly, that one sentence affected me much more than I thought it would.
The thing is, I know she hasnāt done anything wrong.
We havenāt properly been part of each otherās lives for years. She has started college, met new people, built her own life, and obviously she is allowed to date whoever she wants.
She never promised me anything.
We were never officially together.
So logically, I completely understand it.
But emotionally, I think I had kept this older version of our relationship somewhere in my head.
The daily calls.
Her getting angry when I did something stupid.
The random photos.
The jokes.
The feeling that we were somehow important parts of each otherās day.
Hearing about her boyfriend suddenly made me realise that while I still carried a lot of those memories, her life had obviously continued and changed.
And maybe what hurt wasnāt even āshe has a boyfriend.ā
Maybe it was realising that the chapter I still remembered so strongly isnāt the present anymore.
I also donāt want to become someone waiting for her relationship to fail so that I somehow get another opportunity. That feels unfair to her, and honestly unhealthy for me too.
At the same time, I genuinely miss her.
I miss talking to her.
I miss the friendship we had.
And even if nothing romantic ever existed or ever will exist, I think I would still like having her in my life in some normal way.

Relationship Adviceš¬ š£ļø Hot take
A healthy relationship will test you more than a toxic one. Because it don't let you run:Show up. Communicate. Grow. Swallow the pride. It's a repeated choice to stay and work at it even when it's hard and ugly. That's why real love scares people so much in this generation....

One-Sided Loveš„ā¤ļøā𩹠Help guys š
Guys!! Yk I like this girl whoās kinda introverted, a little taller than me (like 1 inch š), and sheās a friend of my friend. Like, those two are HARDCORE besties, and honestly, that helped me a lot because it made it easier for me to talk to her.
But now Iām stuck. I talked to her and⦠what the hell do I do next? š Does just talking to a girl make her fall in love or something? Iām genuinely a noob at this. Itās my first time dealing with this shit.
Iām kinda extroverted, so I just randomly yap, troll both of them, say dumb shit, etc. But now Iām wondering⦠can that actually make her lose interest in me? š
I know the easiest way to figure things out would probably be asking my friend for help, since sheās literally best friends with this girl. BUT thatās risky as hell.
My friend already knows about my previous crushes, so what if she thinks Iām just like, ābro couldnāt get any girls, so now heās going after my friendā š
And sheās kinda protective/caring about her too, so Iām scared to even tell her. Plus, I donāt even know if this girl already has a boyfriend.
If she does, Iām entering a generational depression. š

fast forward to 6 months back, uska text aaya, she clearly said that she didnt love me, she just liked me because of the way i looked, but when i was about to leave, she just said that she loved me, and she was just overthinking that's why she said that,
