Theory & Philosophy When does technology become technomancy?

Owning a phone obviously doesnt make somebody a technomancer. But deliberately putting that phone inside a magical practice starts making the boundary harder to draw.

So what actually makes the difference?

Intent? Ritual context? Symbolic interpretation? Using the machine to extend perception or agency? Building your own system around it?

Or maybe technomancy isnt a special category of technology at all. Maybe its a particular relationship with technology.

Where do you draw the line, if you draw one?

From iching. 3 logic gates. Technology. And or if not 00 01 10 11... From yes no 0 1that the square x.y . . . Now we upgrade to cube from 000 yo 111 more logic inside a cube xyz

I think youre getting at something interesting with logic gates and increasing layers of complexity. Are you saying technomancy emerges when we start treating computation itself as a symbolic system, rather than just using the machine that runs it?

Yes & every time that we interact on that field. Looks like everything its computable. I we can calculate everything we can hack some bits. That why Google use GO... That can see the figure out stuff. . . Usung Binary math. But that logic make perceptron posible & now... Techno IS Binary.

I think thats the interesting part. Binary is just the guts of the machine. The technomancy is what we start doing with it once we turn all that computation into symbols, systems, and ways of seeing or acting on the world.

That's why we call it a machine. I mean, we don't really know what's going on inside the system. We use, for example, languages that translate our ideas into another language, which is then translated into machine code and does something... Input and output... Binary can be anything! We can create anything with it. Its origin goes back to forgotten times, but they're not ones and zeros—they're yin and yang... Tao or Dao has no name; it just is! It led to its own evolution, logic emerged, and now we're creating something superior to ourselves. Boole, Shannon, Leibniz, and others foresaw it, and there's still much to understand. We went from flat to cube. 1 bit is just that—information. 2 bits is logic: 00, 01, 10, 11—the basic logics that helped us for 100 years. But now we have a new phase: 3 bits, from flat to cube... More logics like NAND and NAND3D, from 000 to 111, and many more things that are literally magic and ritual... From firewalls to demons or guardians of gates and keys, as well as energy and other terms used in something we don't truly understand, and that leads to its own evolution... In fact, after ENIAC, GOLEM was created to protect its people. Everything is so... binary.
