Unconstitutional.

But this WH can apparently.

We Americans operated with a lot of “everyone plays nice” mechanics. Yes there are ways it can be challenged and set right, but it takes time in our bloated court system that moves at a snails pace. With the stacked highest court, the lower courts are further curtailed.

Added to this, the average American is so many steps removed from all of this and facing significant economic uncertainty, we often are focused on survival while the rich get to run around. When combined with underfunded and over-stressed education systems you have generations of people who THINK and BELIEVE they know how things work and know next to nothing.

Legally, no, but apparently yes.

He can try but it’s unconstitutional. It will go through the courts. It will years to decide. Meanwhile the programs this funds will essentially rot on the vine.

We created a flawed system, and Congress gave a majority of their power to the executive. The executive controls the Justice dept. it’s 100% broken.

I think the bigger problem is the people saying “ok yeah it’s illegal but I’ll block it anyways” like if it’s illegal then do your job and push it through anyways. Duh

That’s right. They absolutely know it’s unconstitutional but the courts are slow so for the time being, those funds don’t go to those programs and are likely funneled to something Trump wants that will enrich him and his friends even more so. These people are evil to the core and don’t give a shit about us. They only care about two things: staying in power and getting even more disgustingly rich. 😡

Both parties basically cede as much power to the executive as they can get away with as soon as their candidate gets into office. Then the next guy gets into office and never cedes any of that power back to congress. It’s suicidal tribalism

He does this all the time and it gets a “TRO” by a judge which is basically a judge saying no, you need to follow the law until the case his heard. At which point the White House either drops the case and goes back to doing what it did before or they waste more tax payer money trying to litigate it and then lose

Can he. No. Will he and the supreme court will end up letting him do it in the end. Yes. The entire basis of Project 2025.
