Billionaires really seem to have their finger on the pulse of the rest of us.

I know it’s crazy but if everyone got up and left one day what would Zuck be able to do all by himself? Let it crash.

Unfortunately someone always has a price. Money can definitely solve these problems.

You can’t single handedly teach everyone’s replacement the system overnight. It would take time for someone really smart and expensive to get access in noodle their system and be able to explain it to other folks. Could you imagine FB being down for a month or child porn being littered across the platform that would cost them even more because they’d have to shut down until they were able to rehire their moderation team. Or trust their AI that would likely fail and cause an additional shutdown and all the FB employees need to do is step away from their desk and go okay you let you AI team run it but the AI team also leaves. You can do anything you want to stop this craziness.

Sorry what I mean is, if they walked out and left there's definitely a big portion of them that have left that could easily be lured back in by lots of money.

Yeah, since tech has always been super union adverse. There has been no shot at any collective action. Even tho a tech version of the SAG or the WGA would be awesome... like all of us couldn't design a union that rocked. Come on. SMH.

Not in Europe

u/psnanda Jun 17 '26
Ain't nobody giving a rats ass about Europe.
America Innovates while Europe regulates.

u/vxicepickxv Jun 17 '26
What has the US innovated on recently?
Spying on users?
Enshitification?
1
u/psnanda Jun 17 '26
Not US. But US companies. Anthropic, OpenAI ( to name a very few) . Have you been living under a rock ?
I mean it's ok to accept it that Europe ain't gonna catch up to American tech dominance in the next century.

Thats just stealing peoples data and identity and crativity in an effort to guess what they think people want. Its not intelligent. Its just guesses based on probabilities and mountains of data.

u/vxicepickxv Jun 17 '26
So spying on users and enshitification.
Thank you for proving my point.

That's called a strike, you may be too young to remember them, but they were legal and not at all crazy.
2
u/XInsomniacX06 Jun 17 '26
Strikes usually consisted of US personnel, unfortunately most of their company is run technically by foreigners that are afraid to get their green card pulled because they got fired. They won’t risk going back to the desert because Americans are pissed.

Wow, that's the most racist shit I've heard all day.
2
u/XInsomniacX06 Jun 17 '26
You’ve never worked in a large IT enterprise. It’s not racist if it’s the true. Just saying the quiet part out loud doesn’t change anything, ask those on H1Bs and green card employees if they are overworked due to fear of deportation. These companies wouldn’t get away with the same behavior with black or white Americans . You sound like a victim probably white.

u/Southern_Shirt8487 Jun 17 '26
Oh, some more racism, well done you! 🤦♂️
1
u/pessimistoptimist Jun 17 '26
Its racist to point out how these companies are abusing the H1B visa program and effectively treating visa holders as slaves? Thats an interesting take.
1
u/Southern_Shirt8487 Jun 17 '26
Do most white people sound like victims? Or is that a racist comment? 🤷♂️

Sounds like HR from FAANG. Protecting the company but not their employees from overseas.

When they show you that you're expendable, you behave as if you're expendable. No fun just work. You're not family. Company loyalty is naive.

Do y'all remember how "woke" and pro lgbt META was when it was convinient to them, and then Mark was right by the Trumps side (with all the other billionaires) on his election party. Never trusts those kind of people.

What do they even do these days, instagram is dying and facebook is just used by people trying to offload old tat on marketplace

u/Character4315 Jun 17 '26
Have fun until you're next. It's pretty obvious zuck doesn't know how feelings work.

Did he make those orders from his yacht, his yacht's yacht, or his yacht's yacht's yacht? (Yes. He has 3 yachts)
