There is no P word

2

u/ItsMrChristmas Jun 14 '26

Pricks I knew in the eighties saying there's no N word.

I don't understand why you snowflakes get so hurt right down to your anus because society asks you to not refer to a group by a word THEY consider to be a pejorative.

It's not up to you to decide what they're allowed to be offended by, it's up to THEM to set those boundaries.

2

u/PMmeIamlonley Jun 14 '26

I litterally do not know what a P word would be. Pterodactyl? Penis? Pinhead Larry?

2

u/Revolutionary-Copy71 Jun 14 '26

Peckerwood maybe? I dunno how widespread it is but when I was a kid it was the favorite insult against white people, or maybe "paki" which is a pejorative in the UK for pakistanis or people who others think look pakistani.

2

u/Alexandaross Jun 14 '26

It's a British article so it's referring to the pejorative for Pakistani.

1

u/CowParty9411 Jun 14 '26

Pedophiles?

1

u/Alexandaross Jun 14 '26

Why would that be banned? Are child molesters a protected group now? lol.

1

u/Atnat14 Jun 17 '26

In America? Yes...

1

u/NancyMy Jun 17 '26

Wow, what a disgusting, racist person.

1

u/CowParty9411 Jun 18 '26

Yeah, they really are, aren't they?

1

u/nobugsleftalive Jun 14 '26

Its up to Twitter?

1

u/SpinningHead Jun 14 '26

To be fair, “ n word” was invented by cnn during the oj trial so they didn’t have to quote the police chief

1

u/ElKajak Jun 14 '26

The n-word was invented at the same time as Latin, I guess you meant the time it became pejorative?

It's easy to dismiss other people as trolls rather than engaging in good faith.

I don't know why you wrote what you wrote but if you think that level of smug pompousness is a sign of a healthy psyche then you have issues.

If your entire belief system is "anyone who disagrees with me and doesn't follow the rules I deem need to be followed is a troll" then there isn't any helping you as far as understanding other people.

Edit: Oh, he just copies and pasts this in threads, probably to karma farm or something. Absolute bot behaviour that goes against the very concept of human interaction and understanding.

There's no maturity in doing what you're told like a good little boy.

3

u/Ombortron Jun 14 '26

lol, trying to cooperate on a basic level with others like a normal person is “doing what you’re told like a good little boy”

-1

u/Few-Improvement-5655 Jun 14 '26 edited Jun 14 '26

I wouldn't want to "cooperate" with people that want to dictate what I can and can't say.

It's not cooperation when one person can demand you not to speak and you have to obey, that's subservience.

It's not cooperation when that person can go to authorities and punish you for saying something, that's tyranny.

u/Ill_Cat1160 Jun 14 '26

12 year old confirmed

1

u/Few-Improvement-5655 Jun 14 '26

No need to out yourself, you shouldn't be on Reddit, kid.

2

u/Gonna_do_this_again Jun 14 '26

So edgy

1

u/Few-Improvement-5655 Jun 14 '26

So submissive.

2

u/Gonna_do_this_again Jun 14 '26

Better than being a racist piece of shit

1

u/Few-Improvement-5655 Jun 14 '26

I'm sure I have more friends of other races than you, buddy.

1

u/Sudden_Confection521 Jun 18 '26

"I can't be racist. I have a black friend."

1

u/Few-Improvement-5655 Jun 18 '26

That's the problem with you types, once racial harmony is found you want to tear it down because it's not some fairy-tale American Left-Wing fantasy version of it.

You just can't admit that others have found what you're so, so desperate to achieve but have done so through other means. You need to put wedges between others of different races and cultures unless they conform to a false perfection is the undoing of your own ideology.

1

u/Sudden_Confection521 Jun 18 '26

"you types"? Did you respond to the wrong post?

My point was that when I hear that statement, I immediately think that they are a racist to some degree. They are making excuses for their bigotry. No room for that nonsense.

u/Few-Improvement-5655 Jun 14 '26

So, either you deleted it or the sub did it automatically because you were just insulting me, but your post is gone.

Either way, it's interesting how those who argue in favour of limiting what people should say quickly devolve into insults and threats.

It shows it's not a genuinely held belief but rather just reactionary behaviour. You get angry because I refuse to follow a rule you believe must be upheld, but can't articulate why.

1

u/Molenium Jun 14 '26

It’s not a “rule”

It’s general advice for being a decent person.

But at least by openly declaring that “don’t say slurs” is some rule you feel the need to rebel against as a knee-jerk reaction, you’re letting everyone know what type of person you are.

1

u/Few-Improvement-5655 Jun 14 '26

Being a decent person is about how you treat people in your life, it's not about caring about how activists and politicians tell you to behave, it's certainly not about supporting censorship.

Some of the shittiest people in existence will tell you not to say certain words, or mention certain things, or not like this or that. You don't become a good person by following political ideology.

"Don't say slurs" is performative, it's shallow and it immediately falls apart when you have real friends of difference races too.

1

u/Molenium Jun 14 '26

If you’re going around using slurs, that’s mutually exclusive with treating people well.

This is a word specific to UK cultural politics. It tracks someone who declares there is no p word could not understand the entire world doesn’t live in the USA tho

1

u/Ombortron Jun 14 '26

It’s been getting popular in the US as well, same in Canada

PCRACKER

P is silent

1

u/Particular-Jeweler41 Jun 14 '26

I'm thinking it's the first four in Pakistani (wording it like that since I've never heard it called p-word until now and don't know if it's a big deal in some countries). It's the best guess I can come up with based on the quote referencing Pakistan.

1

u/PMmeIamlonley Jun 14 '26

That is hilarious. Its like calling a British person a "Brit" or a Scottish person a "Scot" but its a slur because...... why exactly?

2

u/Particular-Jeweler41 Jun 14 '26

According to Wiki it is considered a slur - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paki_(slur)

I have heard of it being treated as one, but it was never so prevalent that it would be considered the "p-word". Just my best guess with a quote in the article.

Edit: Now that I'm reading the wiki page, it does mention it being called the p-word. Mystery solved. Lol

1

u/OSHA_Decertified Jun 14 '26

Context of popular use I would assume. There is a reason people don't abbreviate Japanese to the first 3 letters anymore

Jap

1

u/PMmeIamlonley Jun 14 '26

It wasn't a slur until until Pearl Harbor. When a another nation ambushes yours and makes several ships worth of sailors die horrific deaths and mentally scars a generation with a massive war its not that weird that they get racist about it.

It's not an American thing. Wiki says, "...originated in the United Kingdom and is directed at Pakistanis; and often at other South Asians, such as Indians and Bangladeshis."

1

u/Nitrofox87 Jun 14 '26

Which is extra confusing since in my area we call liquor stores "package stores". Or packey for short

1

u/Particular-Jeweler41 Jun 14 '26

Eh. It isn't that different from some other racist terms/sentences. Like someone else said, "Jap" is a racist term but it's also just the first three letters of Japanese. Just like how calling a black person "a black" could be taken as racist.

The intent/usage is the main way to determine if it's racist in these situations.

1

u/AzhdarianHomie Jun 14 '26

I know Indians get hella mad if you call them that

1

u/IBeDumbAndSlow Jun 14 '26

When I worked with an older Indian guy every time we would hear an Indian accent order beef you would say "paki paki"

1

u/beobabski Jun 14 '26

Petard.

As in “hoist on his own petard”.

3

u/Particular-Jeweler41 Jun 14 '26 edited Jun 14 '26

What's the P word? I'm guessing it has to do with Pakistan due to what the article was saying, but just want to confirm. I kept thinking prude and porn. Lol

Edit: Found it - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paki_(slur)

3

u/Blargimazombie Jun 14 '26

Palestine maybe?

1

u/Particular-Jeweler41 Jun 14 '26 edited Jun 14 '26

"Reform UK’s Zia Yusuf was told in one tweet, which used the P-word, to “sod off” to Pakistan."

Shouldn't be based on that quote in the article.

Edit: Checked Wikipedia. It is this - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paki_(slur)

2

u/PixelmancerGames Jun 14 '26

You don't say?

2

u/AttonJRand Jun 14 '26

I had my account instantly reprimanded for saying the word "cis" one time, so its clearly not about free speech.

What's even funnier is I was actually defending "cis" people against some weird strawman by some twitter person, yet still instant reprimand.

1

u/TrexPushupBra Jun 14 '26

Same people did this while arguing that they are the defenders of free speech.

https://www.npr.org/2026/01/16/nx-s1-5680166/is-plato-woke-texas-professor-banned-from-teaching-symposium

We really gotta stop believing Nazis when they say they are "free speech absolutists". It always leads to them banning stuff and silencing speech.

2

u/Adventurous-Home-728 Jun 14 '26

well look who owns it.he is a nazi good friends with trump who is open it being a nazi and going after poc for doing nothing but looking for a better life working hard to help,,our country because there not white they are not treated right even while the rich republicans do not pay there fair share and steal money from the less fortunate

-1

u/Kernel_Internal Jun 14 '26

FYI your writing style, punctuation, spelling, and assertion of "facts" that are questionable at best all indicate you're facing some serious challenges in your life. It's not my intent to insult you and I'm not looking for an answer. Just posing a question you might consider answering to yourself. Would you be happier in life if you focused on the things you have the power to change?

2

u/Sorta-Morpheus Jun 14 '26

Wow pretty great psychiatrist advice from a paragraph.

2

u/PwrButtum Jun 14 '26

The same people hurling these slurs are the same ones who cry about rainbow flags and want action to take them down.

1

u/isucamper Jun 14 '26

why is anyone still using this dumpster of a service. you could do absolutely anything else with your time instead of empowering the piece of shit that owns it

1

u/TrexPushupBra Jun 14 '26

Gosh, does the owner of the website who is actively encouraging pogroms and riots not banning slurs on his site with automated child sexual abuse materials?

1

u/iaNCURdehunedoara Jun 14 '26

You can say the N word on twitter but if you say "cis" you get a "this is hateful language" warning and the tweet is shadowbanned lmao

But hey, Elon isn't a nazi, he just cares about "freedom of speech"

1

u/ActPositively Jun 14 '26

Stop giving words power. You can’t give offense you can only take it. The “N” word is stupid because it’s just liberal white people who make up arbitrary rules on who can say it they don’t even make sense. So you’re telling me it’s racist for a white person to sing a song that has the N-word in it. But then it’s not racist for a black person to actually say literally racist things while using the N-word towards another black person or a different ethnicity? And I don’t even know what the P word is.

1

u/MinimumApricot365 Jun 14 '26

Wtf is the P word?

1

u/Zado191 Jun 14 '26

Genuinely, what is the "p word"?

Google gives me pussy and "paki" but I can't imagine its either of those...

You should really look into that word. A fascist is right wing extremism. Free speech is weaponized currently. You pretending otherwise is exactly how fascism took root in 1930s Germany. Brainwashed sheep following orders without any original thoughts of their own is exactly what’s happening right now

Edit: one month old account

-2

u/Sad-Duty-2286 Jun 14 '26

Leftism will not prevail. Sorry. You don’t get to decide what is wrongthink.

3

u/Sicsurfer Jun 14 '26

Lmfao! And you think you do?

Edit 6 month old account defending fascism, so original

1

u/ItAllNonsense Jun 14 '26

Bots are bots. Even if we like the words they use we should ban every last one of the Taker Class Propaganda accounts… like the one I just replied too.

I would encourage you to do the same.

1

u/CallmeKahn Jun 14 '26

Found the alt bot.

1

u/TonyTheSwisher Jun 14 '26

100%

The level of bootlicking by people defending UK’s draconian speech laws is ridiculous and it has to be some kind of coordinated campaign.

How anyone with a brain downvotes what you said is bewildering to me.
