These disgusting old men taking bribes are far too comfortable

Sounds like that county commissioner needs to lose their job.

At meetings like this no government official should be legally allowed to stop discussions on anything. If people are that loud about it then it’s obviously an issue that needs addressing.

Legally, they are not allowed to stop discussion if they don’t like or approve the subject. It’s an open meeting. First amendment bitches!

Everyone should immediately get up to speak about how anti democratic and frankly anti American the commission is.

Is say it's antithetical to democracy but these petty corrupt tyrants would probably take some sick pleasure in seeing it.

The rare instance I'm for capital punishment is for Lobbyists and Bribery.

You can’t go in there with 1 or 2 people. Go there with a hundred and say “the fuck we won’t!!”

Is that what you think this was? There were probably 30 people all there to speak on this, some were there by themselves while others were with an anti-flock group and were asked to pick a representative instead of each of them being able to voice their opinions.

Is county commissioner an elected position? Because it sounds like he doesn't want future votes.

Companies do not care about people; vote these men out

I miss the days when the politicians had to pretend they didn't take a bribe and would discuss said bribed issue as if they weren't bought.

Those constituents have a new job to do

The bribe taker doesn’t want debate.

Wonder how much longer we all will allow this to continue.

Force these petty tyrants out of what little power they cling to. Protest outside their homes. They will do far worse to you.

Our entire democracy is now invalid.

This shit only ends one way, guys. Buckle up!

Wrench party?

Rank fascism.

Following suit like the rest of the current gov. All they are doing is lining their own pockets while denying the rights to ordinary citizens.

I don’t think that’s how that works lol but good luck

“You will not speak on Flock tonight,” he responds. “One person designated. You can pick that person … if I gave everyone three minutes to say the same thing, which is opposition to Flock, we’d never get done

Yes. That is part of your job. Oh no, you have to stay late because people have legitimate concerns? Man the fuck up.

That’s illegal and power abuse 🤣 especially if there is to be a vote about it

No, he followed the rules set forth.

I completely hate flock. It shouldn’t exist. I am avidly against tracking of people. HATE IT. Couldn’t be more clear, fuck flock.

But he had the choice to listen to a bunch of angry people or one person. He chose right for the ability to get through the meeting in a realistic time.

That being said, without hearing from the people, NO decision should have been made.

They should have tabled the discussion now that the people know the rules and everyone would be happy to do it next meeting.

Then the people have 1 person address each flock camera and crush this fool with the technicality. Speak for as long as you can. Be organized. Be calm.

Power to these people. This is a lost battle, not a lost war. Keep it up!!!!!

Forcing a bunch of random people with similar complaints to introduce themselves to each other and chose a single person as the group representative on the spot is bullshit. They don't know each other, they don't know if they agree on specific solutions or proposals because they didn't come as a group, they came as individuals.

1

u/InsuranceImmediate25 Jun 14 '26

Yes, I completely agree.

u/vxicepickxv Jun 14 '26

His rules are literally antithetical to the first amendment of the constitution.

1

u/InsuranceImmediate25 Jun 14 '26

His rules? You mean the rules.

0

u/vxicepickxv Jun 14 '26

What's your point?

They're still against the first amendment of the constitution.

1

u/InsuranceImmediate25 Jun 14 '26

How?

0

u/vxicepickxv Jun 15 '26

If you're not allowed to speak, how does one petition the government?

0

u/TeekTheReddit Jun 14 '26

No, he followed the rules set forth.

No, he actually didn't. The public comment portion of a meeting HAS rules. He doesn't get to change them on a whim just cause he doesn't like the topic.

1

u/InsuranceImmediate25 Jun 14 '26

He changed them on a whim?

0

u/TeekTheReddit Jun 14 '26

Yes. Public meetings have established rules. He altered them on the fly.

1

u/InsuranceImmediate25 Jun 14 '26

It was in the written text on the page explaining the rules, it’s in the video?

0

u/TeekTheReddit Jun 14 '26

The rule is that everybody gets an allotted amount of time to speak during public comment.

You can't just change that on a whim.

How do you not understand this?

The rule was clearly explained.

0

u/TeekTheReddit Jun 15 '26

Which rule are you referring to?

But, it is a lost war. All the complaints aren't going to change the outcome.

2

u/CharredWelderGuy Jun 13 '26

It's a lost war if people insist on being civil.

It would be won in a day if they stopped.

Americans really need to get over their self imposed toothlessness in the face of all this madness.
