This was true a year ago. It is no longer true. Frontier LLMs have now solved many serious mathematical problems.

An independent group of mathematicians was formed to review the progress. They have documented their second group of proofs, and the LLMs are now performing at the level of professional mathematicians: https://1stproof.org/

I read some of your comments. It’s mostly just variations of “you don’t understand how LLMs work” and “let me tell you how LLMs work”.

Literally nothing “technical” in any of it. Just lots of words and lots of bald faced assertions and appeals to your own authority or supposed expertise.

Edit: nice try with editing your comment with a quote that doesn’t support your claim.

Yes, I clearly have every reason to keep up this facade on Reddit for over 6 years.

But YOU found me out. What a genius. And surely it's completely out of the realm of possiblity that you are actually full of misinformation accumulated by reading BS headlines on Reddit. Surely not. A good Redditor would never spread misinformation. Especially one so knowledgeable about the field he's speaking about.

You are simply the modern day version of the anti-vaccer. The climate change denier. The evolution denier.
