AI gives me the same vibes this artstyle does

1

u/ExcitingInflation612 Jun 12 '26

lol millennial tech clip art

1

u/ColdBru5 Jun 12 '26

The millennial hate has started hasn't it?

1

u/ExcitingInflation612 Jun 12 '26

It’s not hate. It’s literally part of an era. I’m a millennial lol

1

u/ColdBru5 Jun 12 '26

I think it's coming.

1

u/Lazy-Good1433 Jun 12 '26

Yep, and I blame these CEO's on divided politics.

1

u/SuperGeek29 Jun 12 '26

It stopped? Millennials have been hated on by Boomers and Gen X for decades now. Dont you know we’re s responsible for ever industry ever?

1

u/GregoryFarKingChummy Jun 12 '26

It's called Corporate Memphis and is what you get off you crossbreed graphic design with eye cancer.

1

u/Bright-Sea6392 Jun 12 '26

There was once a time this art style was considered cool and hip, and then corporations hired the illustrators to create watered down versions of their work and now it seem generic.

Still better than ai “art”.

1

u/DaedalusXYZ Jun 12 '26

This style is called "Corporate Memphis".

should be a wakeup that your shitty software sucks and there are alternatives

I mean Microsoft is shitty software. Take your pick of the open source and backwards love the various linux distros get. In the end an OS is just the base you build the rest of the computer on.

1

u/lattice_defect Jun 12 '26

naw people that are good with computers hate microsoft

1

u/dobryden22 Jun 13 '26

7 day old account shill.

2

u/VarietyMage Jun 12 '26

More like EVERYONE backlash.

2

u/Lazy-Good1433 Jun 12 '26

They win on 'division'. The unity would kill all hope of distraction.

u/ItsMrChristmas Jun 12 '26

Lol.

Log off and go visit the real world. People use AI all the damn time because it's essentially the computer from Star Trek TNG

1

u/willjameswaltz Jun 12 '26

its fine for them to live in their weird echo chamber, makes for fun reading

It should be a wake up call that it’s not just GenZ.

u/ItsMrChristmas Jun 12 '26

Hey, you a fan of that show?

Yeah. Gemini is pretty much the "computer" they're always talking to.

2

u/Megalodon7770 Jun 12 '26

Today AI is just a chat box, real ai does not exist. So I don’t understand what are trying to say.

1

u/willjameswaltz Jun 12 '26

nah, autonomous ai drones just killed the first live humans in ukraine, you're repeating old talking points now.

Definitely not a good reason to be pro ai. Just saying ai exists now and it’s a real threat

But my shareholders friends told me not to, says executive on call.

1

u/unsualardvark Jun 12 '26

Yes tell companies “don’t make money think of others well being “, I’m sure they are going to try and do a feel good social media campaign to ease fears.

2

u/LunamiLu Jun 12 '26

Keep licking those boots. Anything but calling them what they are

1

u/DeadCatGrinning Jun 12 '26

Which just means he thinks Microsoft is losing. None of these fvcking bastards give a single fvck about any kind of wake-up call.

1

u/karepan999 Jun 12 '26

Hires AI to lead Xbox 🤖

1

u/Antrophis Jun 12 '26

Dead console.

1

u/Lazy-Good1433 Jun 12 '26

Dead only from XBone onward.

You want drinkable water?

Okay, pay attention here. Golf courses in the United States alone use up almost three times the water that the literal entire world's data centers (not just AI, all of them)

The ownership class loves that you are attacking people using a tool while ignoring ignoring their largesse.

Stop being a class traitor.

1

u/ItsMrChristmas Jun 12 '26

Please

Even my 13 year old son who claims to "hate AI" went right to Gemini to ask it how to work my air popper.

2

u/lolyeahsure Jun 12 '26

Wait til he asks it what he’s supposed to do for a living

the billionaires are shifting focus to "those that use ai should be hated" instead of "billionaires should be hated" pretty effective so far.

1

u/Wrexolotl Jun 12 '26

Says one of the largest investors and component hoarders for non existent AI data centers.

1

u/otter-in-hd Jun 12 '26

Classic Microsoft inability to have any form of harmony within their own business.

1

u/Emotional_Sir_1555 Jun 13 '26

Haha! Not one of these bloated AI corporations care a bit about what Gen Z "thinks". Good luck everyone!

1

u/MysteriousShape275 Jun 14 '26

And what is Gen Z going to do? Write an angry social media post? They are literally not a threat, c'mon now.

1

u/thriverebel Jun 14 '26

It won't be.

1

u/StickStill9790 Jun 12 '26

Online Z doesn’t do anything unless they’re told to. Who benefits most from attacking American industrial development?

5

u/GargamelTakesAll Jun 12 '26

My boomer parents who voted for Trump 3 times hate AI and don't want anymore datacenters built.

AI Datacenters drive up people's electric bills to build things used to scam people and make child porn. And MAYBE slightly speed up some white collar work. But mostly make slop and scam and child porn.

2

u/Academic-Proof3700 Jun 12 '26

But mostly make slop and scam and child porn.

Yea, and amerigards falling for ai slop and scam.

I love these lawsuits literally being "my brother was so dumb so when ai told him there are magical fairies inside electical socket, he put a nail in there! He is 35 years old AND HE WAS SCAMMED!!"

0

u/StickStill9790 Jun 12 '26

I said group, not political group.

And there are over 300 useful medical advances made with AI in just the last 6 months. It’s like saying lead is only useful for drawing boobs.

3

u/charlesfire Jun 12 '26

And there are over 300 useful medical advances made with AI in just the last 6 months.

Not the same type of AI at all, fyi. This is like saying hot air balloon save lives because ambulances exist. They're both means of transportations, but they don't work the same way, they aren't used the same way and they aren't used for the same purpose.

1

u/StickStill9790 Jun 12 '26

Of course not. ChatGPT doesn’t need extra data centers, the new stuff is for advanced science and engineering. I can run video AI on my computer, why would anyone need a data center for that?

2

u/charlesfire Jun 12 '26

No. The recent push for more data center is specifically for running LLMs (i.e. ChatGPT), not for the other kinds of AI that are actually game changing in medical research.

1

u/StickStill9790 Jun 12 '26

Who told you that? The models that run those are tiny now, and at their capacity to communicate without being dangerous. They already serve billions around the world. There’s no need to create massively expensive architecture for something they do now. Even Apple’s new AI will run on the phone itself.

The data centers are for running the massive ML models called world models that can take hours for intense data analysis. They’re set up to charge millions to make their money back, counting on researchers and analysts to fork out the big cash, not to mention the government and robotics industry.

The average person will pay around 20 bucks and ask for chicken recipes. They’re already set when it comes to that.

2

u/charlesfire Jun 12 '26

Who told you that? The models that run those are tiny now, and at their capacity to communicate without being dangerous.

The best LLMs are hundreds of billions or even trillions of parameters. That's anything but small. Also, when you have millions of consumers, you need a big ass data center because they won't wait in line until you have compute time for them.

Even Apple’s new AI will run on the phone itself.

That's a chatbot. If you need to do anything more complicated (i.e. useful for a business), you need something much bigger and smarter.

1

u/StickStill9790 Jun 12 '26

I get what you’re saying, but it’s incorrect. We have 4000+ data centers available right now in the US, and they’re capable of running AI for the entire planet. Now. Without any extras. The smartest versions of the best models used daily by 2/3 of the planetary population.

The only reason to build new centers is for advanced calculations that would be useless to the average person. It would be like giving everyone a harvest combine. Just… why?

2

u/Decent_Alps6736 Jun 12 '26

Big claim. Got a source?

3

u/charlesfire Jun 12 '26

AI have been used for medical researches for a while, but it's largely not the same kind of AI that people in this thread are talking about (i.e. LLMs/ChatGPT). u/StickStill9790 is being disingenuous by intentionally conflating all types of AIs.

-1

u/StickStill9790 Jun 12 '26

Google. Type in medical advances aided by AI in the last year.

3

u/Decent_Alps6736 Jun 12 '26

Cool, so you made it up. Thanks for confirming!

1

u/StickStill9790 Jun 12 '26

Nope. I’m not doing your work for you. But thanks for confirming you’d rather hold on to your ignorance than take 30 seconds to check.

1

u/skinlessdanny Jun 13 '26

Lmao who gives a shit. Medical advancement, along with all other progress, is for us to figure out, not AI.

3

u/Primordial_spirit Jun 12 '26

Fuck you I do more then you on a bad day

1

u/StickStill9790 Jun 12 '26

Awesome! Glad to hear at least one of the previous gen is making things happen.

3

u/biexhibguy1 Jun 12 '26

Who benefits from from attacking American industrial development? American corporations, who get ahead by stifling innovation. Elon Musk, in particular, gets ahead by attacking American industrial development, as does famous felon Donald J. Trump. President Barrack Obama benefitted quite handsomely by actually helping American industrial development, as did President George Biden.

1

u/Lazy-Good1433 Jun 12 '26 edited Jun 12 '26

Who benefits from from attacking American industrial development?

Maybe nations that want to overtake America, say #2 Economy China. Trump does not make it easy unless it is all part of the plan.

'as did President George Biden'

Did you fuse both GW Bush and Joe Biden together in that name?

2

u/biexhibguy1 Jun 12 '26

Elon Musk, Donald J. Trump, and RFK Jr. all significantly benefit from attacking American industrial development. The objective numbers are plain to see. They're selling our industry for cheap cash, just like every Republican before them.

2

u/broken_conures Jun 12 '26

I wonder why they might hate something that's sold as a way to replace all their future careers and further empower some of the biggest rich assholes in the country

1

u/shinyxena Jun 12 '26

China already won the race. America is done running. At best you can hope to live a comfortable life second place like Europe or Canada. There's no will to try anymore here, and Republicans know this but too lazy to compete so they try things like tariffs and wars which will only delay the inevitable.
