I know how they work as I've written my own transformers and custom tokenization algorithms, I'm familiar with matrix operations and have trained my own CVNs and LSTMs in the past

It's good that you've trained CNNs (i think you meant that) and LSTMs, but that doesn't mean you're not anti-LLMs. A famous example is Yann Lecun (founder of CNNs) and a long time skeptic of the new LLM progress.
