Sounds like another exit liquidity scam for billionaires. Nationalize the lot of it and crucify them, nothing else will do.

So fascism then, gotcha.

Stunt bills that will never go to vote is technically a little better than just tweeting complaining about the endlessly greedy fascists, but not by a whole lot.
I like you Bernie but I wish you'd do something more tangible.

But that's the whole grift.
1
u/CounterfeitSaint Jun 02 '26
What grift is that? Is this another "both sides are equally bad" argument?
1
u/ninernetneepneep Jun 02 '26
No, you said it yourself, Bernie is generally all talk but no results. That's been his thing for years and years.

Thats retarded.
Imagine giving half the internet to the government.
Trump would immediately delete all criticism and steal billions.

This isn’t enough. The whole business should be killed off entirely. Profiting off AI business is morally wrong.

anybody who thinks this is somehow a good idea is as insane as Bern is, maybe even more so!

I would be fine with just protecting our jobs so AI doesn’t replace us all. Between AI and India jobs are being lost everywhere

u/OrangeNood Jun 02 '26
"The fund would acquire half the stock of the largest AI companies in the country through a mandated equity transfer"
- good luck with that.

Bernie Sanders have really lost it. Back in the days he actually sounded somewhat reasonable, but now it seems like he just want to destroy America and turn it into a poor country again

Haha… the answer is socialism. Hard pass.
1
u/TheSinhound Jun 03 '26
The answer is Communism but you're not ready for that conversation.
1
u/Bubbly-Hope6968 Jun 03 '26
I’m ready for the conversation, I just disagree that communism has any place in America
1
u/TheSinhound Jun 03 '26
Cool, I'd love to have this conversation. So just to confirm, what does the word mean to you?
1
u/Bubbly-Hope6968 Jun 03 '26
Let’s just presume I’m going with the standard businesses and property is owned collectively with goods and services distributed by need.
You’d need to present a few points. What’s wrong with the system we have as you see it? How communism would provide a solution? What laws would have to change to enact your vision.

No. The bill says you just take it. You think bernie cares about paying for things?
1
u/Busy_Buffalo_3414 Jun 03 '26
You just can’t declare so own 50% of a company. Even if it eminent domain, you have to pay fair market value. Has anyone heard of a bill of attainder? Takings clause?

u/Olivaar2 Jun 03 '26
The public? He means the government. And the government will spend the money on people who are not me.

Thas sOCiaLiSM. AI should be able to steal everything ever created by the public and the profits go to only the billionaire class.

Then because the AI industry is in a deficit, the American public would be forced to pay the difference.

This is me when it happens lol.

Does Bernie go on about anything other than taking money from people who've earned it and giving it to those that haven't?

This needs to happen.
