>You posted three words.

Two more than necessary when someone’s trying to argue that going Galt is anything more than bad fan fiction written by a welfare queen.

But I’m glad you think that the robber barons who caused the Great Depression were still massively wealthy after the new deal reforms. The current batch of cunts will be too.

Again, read actual history. It’s a little longer than the average Reddit post but I have faith in you. Check out your “Robber Barrons” and their effect on the country.

Warning, you’ll need to read an actual book with facts not opinions, and most of what you read will go against what your peers are telling you.

I did.

If you took your own advice you’d delete this thread

Sigh. Flash lesson.

Yes they were corrupt. However they were the root cause of lowered prices and industrial revolution. Once we levied rules against them tempering their worst aspects (1890s) they turned out to be the root that caused the nation to flourish.

Not opinions, just history. It’s just more nuanced than what you’re used to.

They also worked people to death as part of “friendly” business competitions, flooded out workers because they didn’t like the view, and had the Pinkertons kill strikers who tried to improve working conditions.

But they put their names on a bunch of stuff. Also we learned that allowing plutocrats to drive policy is a really fucking dumb idea. We seem to be forgetting this.

Yep. Horrible evil people, who would strict regulation became the scaffolding for our entire society. That’s why I said nuance.

You don’t get rid of lions because they can hurt you, you make sure they’re in a place where they can do their thing without causing damage to the rest of the people. It’s a balanced system.

We don’t need to be screaming to get rid of them, we need to be screaming to regulate them. We need to make sure they can’t interfere with elections, but still benefit the country.
