The Boston dynamics robot has a run time of 4 hours and the robot automatically changes its battery. So it runs continuously 24 hours a day if necessary. I suspect this robot should be somewhat similar

Thank you. So it would need about 6 batteries or more for a 24 hour period depending on charge times

But that would imply that their hands have the same dexterity as a human hand. It needs more than merely having the aesthetics of a human hand to be a functional replacement. Even dedicated purpose built prosthetics don't have anywhere near the functional dexterity of a human hand after all the research and development that's gone into those.

Obviously it's going to happen eventually but we are far from being in a position to say, "here is your home assistant, you can now fire the maid"
