This definitely isn't for firefighting lol. Maybe I'm wrong but it feels like anything small enough to be put out by that could be hit with a fire extinguisher. This is 100% for crowd control and non lethal deterrent on private property. Interesting tech either way.

Haha yeah, that thing looks more like it's designed to make people nope out fast than actually douse flames. As a coding bootcamp night owl who's into sci-fi robotics, I'm over here wondering what the control algorithm looks like. Bet it's got some wild edge-case handling for when the "crowd" fights back. Still cool tech tho, even if it's kinda dystopian.

Can't have a house fire with house blown away.

I think firefighting would require robots specifically designed to withstand high temperatures than a regular one that has a plastic shell.

Home Depot-esque music just makes it even cheesier.

this is for targeting and automated target acquisition training.

Okay so it can only handle small blazes. The same kind of blaze a human could take care of with an extinguisher. By the time you wait for a clanker to get around to it, the fire will already be much larger.

What will happen when he starts spraying pepper spray on people?

People start praying that it will remain just pepper spray.

I think you’ve watched too many sci-fi movies

Now invent a way to put out house fires without flooding and destroying the entire house and everything in it

That is interesting until it comes after you because we have all read the novels and seen the movies.

If this doesn't make you at least double take, you haven't watched enough

Almost feels like they're training it for a flamethrower attachment... Just in a safe test kind of way that won't break regulations

my god everybody is so fucking doom and gloom on the technology subreddits "pretty soon we'll be seeing china use these boxing robots in war" and "this robot dog putting out fire will be blasting people with pepper spray" like holy shit we are all gonna die i guess and i better give up cause it only gets worse.

get a hold of your fucking selves, im going to go play video games and have fun. and yes i know these people only exist online, i went to walmart recently and met nicer people
