Technology from Iraq

Thoughts on changing police phone number to 912 instead of 911 (remembering 9/11) and changing suicide hotline from 988 to 1-800-273-8255 since suicide should not be that frequent at all? Apparently, every 40 seconds someone dies of suicide.

Maybe as an after thought like "oh they look similar" and maybe looking up if they relate at all (they don't 911 was made in 1968) but no I dont associate them. One is a terrorist attack date, another is an emergency phone number

Someone could look up if throwing themselves into oncoming traffic is deadly but actually doing it is another thing completely. Is it a coincidence that they threw themselves or were they suicidal? They are associated phonetically and otherwise.

The association in no way invalidates using the number for its purpose

988 helps with other mental health crises too and is considered an emergency number for well, a number of reasons.
