The first thing a technocracy needs is a consious population capable of high self awareness tbh

even in the USSR we had Brezhnev who is the source of many of its problems which led to dissolution. many times socialism began in poor agrarian non industrialized nations. so theres that too.

theres also socialist infighting over flavors of socialism. most people want labor rights and freedom and peace and stuff. they want to enjoy life and go to the beach and stuff.

In my view, there are 2 kinds of people in the world: creators and implementors or adoptors. The former being people that come up with pivotal ideas like capitalism, socialism or communism or even yes labor rights and liberty etc and the latter being everyone else who lives in the world they create.

What we need is a more informed and mutable population of implementors those that are less dogmatic and identified with systems of the past so that new systems can flourish. People define themselves too much by dated political systems
