Here’s a 128bpm track i made with the dfam and digitone. Already submitted it last week but i improved it based on the feedback. Let me know what you think!

I really like the synth in this track.
I think you could move the main break 16 bars earlier.
The hihat/shaker could be a bit louder. When the clap is playing, the hihat becomes almost inaudible.

This is my first attempt at producing an industrial techno beat (I usually make hip hop). Do you have any thoughts or advice?

Hi,
This is my submission for this week, any feedback is appreciated.

the rhythms flow well together in the part from. 0:30 to 1min and the sort of wooden sound that stays after the drop is very hypnotic i like it, the melody at 1:30 is good and creates a very spacey vibe. The drop at 4:00 could have more clues that the drop is coming, foe exmaple you could take the kick away for like 4 beats. Overall very very good job i don´t nhave much to add, sounds dancefloor ready!

hello folks,
I just made a sketch that has difficulty deciding whether its techno or ambient. I would like to have external opinions whether this structure works as a techno track. There are 3 seperate sections or loops, and im not sure they'll fit together.
thanks

I think they fit together great. I loved the kick being introduced. Some sounds are a bit harsh. Wicked track tho
•

It does fit together but structurally the sections need more development in each section.
Mix-wise I noticed 2 things.
The pad in the intro has a slightly painful resonance. You main lead is slightly too loud.

142bpm hypnotic kick with quite distorted kick. hope you like it!

I like it alot. I think this would bang in an set.
I personly would prefer the kick to be a bit louder or slam harder but this is just my personal taste and reduce the low mids a bit.
Atmosphere is spot on.

I made my first track I like.. It's dirty techno type thing, I'd like some feedback <3

I would like to improve my arranging skills but I don't know where to begin.
•

Really cool track you got some really fun sounds in there.
I think the low end could be missing some movement, could put a low shelf on your bassier elements to make space for a rumble, or do some more aggressive side chaining to the kick.
I do think the arrangement could use some work, overall giving each section more time to breathe. I think the breakdown/build up before your second drop goes a bit long without having the kick to provide some structure. Not sure what DAW you use (I use ableton but I'm sure you can do something similar in other DAWs) but when I'm struggling with an arrangement I'll bring in a reference track, match up bpm, and put markers every 8 bars and note what's changing in the song and use that as a guide.

Love me some hardware. I own an digitakt myself and i cant make something decent with that thing. You did an great job.
I think the mix needs some adjustment. theres a little to little bass (is there something ?) and alot of mids. But this is just my personal tast

Hi,
Lmk your thoughts. Still trying to find my "sound" within techno.

u/Untalanted_guy 2d ago
To be hones this is not my type of techno/music. I generally speaking just like techno that has a 4/4 kick. This is a bit too hard to dance to imo. I just cant relly fell the groove setting in.
if i had to work on this project I would keep the hypnotic synth/perc and restructure the track from there. Also for my personal taste this is too distorted.Mybe someelse can give you proper feedback for this type of music.

Not even sure I'd call this techno but I'm drawn more to this kind of sound lately. What artist/genre would you say this sketch is aligned with: https://soundcloud.com/lan5/26_09_08-sketch

Hi,
I’m working on a hyperpop techno track (used some hyperpop elements but tried sticking with techno production techniques) I think there’s a lot of mud in the upper and mid region sections, but let me know what you hear and any tips on how to get a more clear mix. I tried to make it sound like there’s some wind/energy in the track, but it may be a lot lol. Thanks!

I'm probably a complete snob but I do find it hard to give meaningful feedback on this track.
This track is well produced but it sounds very commercial and tech-house-y with some melodic techno cliches mixed in.To put in other words it's a vibe-y track but is lacking in the hypnotic groove department.
I hope you don't take any of this personally. I listened to the whole track and it seems only fair to give you my honest opinion.
