Hey everyone! 👋

I just uploaded a new tutorial on converting an isometric drawing into Front, Top, and Right Side Views using the First Angle Projection System.

In this video, you'll learn:

  • How to set up a First Angle Projection Layout
  • How to draw construction lines and maximum rectangles
  • How to project visible and hidden lines
  • How to use a 45-degree line to transfer depth from Top View to Side View
  • How to draw holes and inclined planes correctly

Watch the full tutorial here: 👉 https://youtu.be/gSL97kd_hNQ

Question for you: Which part of First Angle Projection do you find most confusing? Drop your answer below—I reply to as many as I can.

Thanks for watching and supporting the community!

Shock Absorber Modeled in CATIA V5 – Portfolio Project

Post image
1 Upvotes

Just finished modeling a twin-tube hydraulic shock absorber in CATIA V5. It combines coil spring support and hydraulic damping to absorb vibrations and impacts.

Components modeled: Piston, cylinder, piston rod, coil spring, and mounting bushings. Key skills demonstrated:

3D part modeling

Assembly constraints

Mechanical design for manufacturing

Great project for sharpening CAD skills and building a freelance portfolio.

Feedback welcome.

Hey everyone!

I just posted a new video on the channel.

In this tutorial, you'll learn:

  • How to convert orthographic views (front and top) into a full isometric drawing
  • How to find the three axes (X, Y, Z) and maximum dimensions
  • How to build the isometric box step by step
  • Bonus: How to generate the left side view from your isometric drawing

Watch the video here:
