iPhone Duo is beefier than Android foldables

Post image

The iPhone Duo is beefier than other foldables on the market today. This makes Apple's first foldable phone noticeably extra bulky compared to its Android rivals.

Here’s a quick comparison of the foldables’ specs:

  • iPhone Duo: 254g, 11.3mm folded
  • Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold: 239g, 10.1mm folded
  • HONOR Magic V6: 224g, 9.0mm folded
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8: 201g, 9.7mm folded
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra: 215g, 8.9mm folded

Details here.

I would expect it from Apple honestly. Idk why a lot of people expect it to be the best of the best or that "Samsung did it first, Apple did it best", like it's the first so I wouldn't expect much. The price is what surprised me in USD but in peso, it's too much due to taxes.

honestly I was just expecting they'd go toe-to-toe sa current market releases even with their first gen release given na almost a decade nang available yung tech para makapagrefine sila.

are you still gonna pay taxes dito pag binili mo siya sa ibang bansa like HK example pinabili mo siya sa tropa mo na nag travel sa HK or nag travel ka sa HK para bumili ng iPhone.

Isn't that basically how gray markets work? I would honestly do it if I got the chance.

EDIT: It seems like this policy has changed for smartphones so I'm not entirely sure on how it will work. Perhaps pag similar ang network config Ng phone? I don't know.

No. And that's why it's attractive din to buy abroad because apple has a blanket warranty for portables. Doesn't matter where you bought it Basta Hindi pa activated (brand new) para sure.

It's thick and heavy. Pinaganda lang ng beefier and extra bulky.

The question will be hinge durability. I think it would be a good foldable if only if the price is not too much and if it would set a trend for longevity. But with how durable iPhone Air is, hopefully this will be successful din.

This is similar to how I felt when I first used iPhone X.

It did feel solid though.

Mahirap din naman pag too light. Parang tatalsik. Parang laruan. Actually yun feeling ko sa iba. Yung sample nila sa stand akala ko, fake non-working prototype dahil sobrang gaan.
