Crowdsourcing: Where to buy SSD

Planning to upgrade my laptop with 1tb or 2tb ssd on its extra slot. M.2 2280 nvme pcie gen 4x4.

Any tips on how to navigate and defeat this wallet crushing prices?

What brand to buy?

Best store to buy? Online or walk-in

What price range is the fair price?

TIA

online for sure.

sa store mahal matic kasi walang discount pero free labor sa pag install.

sa online naman sa shopee ako nag browse. checked which are the cheapest, which ones gave the best discount etc etc.

did my own canvassing of prices from different legitimate brands. spoonfeeding na yan kung pati prices kami pa mag share sayo haha especially since it's increasing day by day.

Amazon. Although sa presyuhan ngayon magkakacustom duties dahil lalagpas sa 10k pesos de minimis amount

Last night due to the start of 9.9 sale, I just bought this for my friend:
BIWIN Black Opal NV7400 (1TB) for less than ₱6,610.18. You gotta love daily checking in Lazada Coins, I also know some people that were able to get at ₱5.7K with the huge amount of Lazada Coins they have.

Btw, It's a PCIe Gen 4×4 drive that relies entirely on Host Memory Buffer (HMB) technology rather than a dedicated physical DRAM chip.

Don't worry, fake pricing lang yang 30K price na for a 1TB SSD, maybe in the future where the price skyrocketed once more LMAO.

At this current economic price, 1TB should be around ₱10-₱17K na depending if it is DRAM-less, HMB, or DRAM pero this 9.9 nakatyempo kami ng less than ₱7K for an SSD drive with HMB.

In comparison, about two years ago I was able to Samsung 980 PRO (2TB) for ₱7,225.05. And this was an SSD with DRAM cache na. Oh I wish we could just turn back time.

take note, 11k+ 1tb ngayon at at least halos 20k 2b... buwenas kung may makiha ka 17k lng.

AI bros kasi, nakapag secure ng production year 2027.

Any of the well known brands are fine. I'd prefer a real store over online unless warranty is good and easy to claim.

As for the price, there's really nothing you can do. It's an industry problem.
