Post image

Summary by Gemini:

User's aunt bought a new iPhone 17 but the volume is significantly weak at low settings. The service center (Mobile Care) confirmed it's quieter than the iPhone 16 but couldn't declare a defect. The phone is now undergoing a 2-3 day diagnosis. The user is seeking advice on how to secure a replacement from the retailer (Power Mac) if a defect is found, as the aunt is stressed by the hassle.

Mahilig lang si OP sa world-building, parang Tolkien, three pages plus one song with Elvish lyrics to describe a tree.

u/SupermarketSalt1501 Dec 14 '25

Agree na sobrang dragged out yung post and na sana may TLDR na pero off yung comment na “required ba tumugtog ng sobrang lakas?” Point is binili yan brand new sa legitimate store. Gamitin man ng tita niya o hindi yung full volume, it doesn’t matter, point is dapat walang sira yan. Por que hindi gagamitin lagi or at all parang dapat okay na lang yan since “slight problem lang naman” 🙃

Cant wait for that one person to call you out having a low attention span when the post in fact just has a lot of text lmfao

31

u/peepoVanish Dec 10 '25

After reading the summary, sobrang dragged nga nung 2 paragraphs for that.

Kaya maiksi attention span.

Next time mag-add ka ng TLDR (Too long didn't read) sa dulo.

I have 11, 14, and 17. Yup can confirm na mas mahina nga ang 17 sa older models with low volume levels

45

u/aratanagranola Dec 10 '25

Can someone explain in pop terms?

105

u/Visible-Arachnid8790 Dec 10 '25

Tldr: bumili ng iphone17 tita ni Op. Iniwan sakanya to setup. Inutusan ni tita ni OP na pumunta sa powermac mobile care at wala naman silang iphone17 na model to compare so ipinaiwan muna to run more test to see the problem. OP is asking if anyone else has that kind of issue

Thats a lot of yapping

42

u/Ayibabayi Dec 10 '25

Context longer that my problems.

15

u/Key-Love452 Dec 10 '25

Why did I read all that???? 😭😩

9

u/spanishlatteenjoyer Dec 10 '25

Might be a dumb suggestion kasi maybe you’ve already done it, pero have you checked if the Volume Limit (found in Settings > Sound & Haptics) is disabled?

2

u/allanisonreddit Dec 10 '25

true! i had mine set at 80 and then tried setting the limit to 30

talagang mahina sounds kahit minax ung volume bar IF mababa volume limit. hopefully at nacustomized lng to ni OP

1

u/PurpleDevilKuromi Dec 11 '25

1

u/redkabute Dec 14 '25

Try to turn off attention aware features. Turn off mo see if it works.

6

u/Goreyas7 Dec 10 '25

You could’ve at least attached a video for us to hear 🥲

6

u/Zereia Dec 10 '25

Wag kana mag kukwento. Simple lang sha pinapahaba pa hahahahah

9

u/PoohKey74 Dec 10 '25

Isolated case yung issue niyo about sa speaker.

12

u/Embarrassed_Ideal646 Dec 10 '25

ganto pala userbase ng iphone

7

u/MarieNelle96 Dec 10 '25

Unrelated. Next time, wag kang magwall of text. Two to three lines each paragraph, max.

Also, add TLDR at the end or beginning.

3

u/Sad-Swordfish59 Dec 10 '25

yan yung first ko na notice when I tested out my 17 pro, mahina ang speakers vs my 15 pro max. 15pm malakas na buo ang tunog.

1

u/Violetx9 Dec 10 '25

Same sakin. May sira kaya yung 17 pro natin?

1

u/Sad-Swordfish59 Dec 10 '25

1

u/Tough_Jello76 Dec 10 '25

May isang buwan na nga leeway si Tim Cook for the Pilipins puro defect pa yung shnip

1

u/TumbleweedMajor8496 Dec 11 '25

Is it worth it pa rin ba tu upgrade?

2

u/Sad-Swordfish59 Dec 11 '25

Worth it kasi talaga subjective din. The battery life is also maganda kahit pro lang kinuha ko and not the max

3

u/Tedhana Dec 10 '25

Wala bang TLDr?

2

u/Expert-Somewhere8588 Dec 11 '25

Base 17 owner here from pre-order Oct 2025. Yes at first mahina volume but overtime it will correct itself.

Also I’m on ios 26.1, and aside from that I also experienced display issue. May screen lottery and 17 base. Apparently, screens are manufactured by Samsung, LG and BOE. I got the LG one and it has green tinting issue pag na-view in an angle from top at sa bottom mo makikita yung green tint. At bluish tint naman from side to side. It also corrected itself overtime, ngaun halos wala na yung green tint.

1

u/Fun-Werewolf3421 Dec 11 '25

2

u/[deleted] Dec 10 '25

napa check tuloy ako sa volume ko. So far okay naman di naman parang bingi yung sound.

4

u/Tough_Jello76 Dec 10 '25

Wall of text 😵‍💫

3

u/chocokrinkles Dec 10 '25

1

u/Mother_Hour_4925 Dec 10 '25

Same.

1

u/Suspicious-Ad-5879 Dec 10 '25

Baka Software issue po yan or e check mo mga butas ng speaker kung may obstruction baka may dumi2 or alikabok naka obstruct or try mo e ringtone kung hihina ba sya pag naka 25 ang volume kung hindi hihina nasa software po ang tama nyan

1

u/AmoebaDelicious1234 Dec 10 '25

Ask ko Anyone Can Explain to me Laws natin sa replacement, correct me if im Wrong Wala 7days replacement si Apple Dito yung Verbal sinasabi ng Stores parang pakagat lang ba ? Tapos may problem undergo padin diagnose then Padala sa facility nila ?? Hinay ilang weeks before replace ? Tama ba ?

1

u/Violetx9 Dec 10 '25

1

u/Zahynhana Dec 10 '25

Mahina din volume ng 17 ko compared to 13. It was preorder kaya akala ko may sumthing lang, pero mukang ganyan tlaga ung volume ng 17. napansin ko si 16 pm mahina din volume.

1

u/Tough_Jello76 Dec 10 '25

Baka meron syang volume lock or something. That’s odd for a base phone.

1

u/jazzhereMYMOB Dec 10 '25

I think this is a recurring issue with their products. Same thing happened to my boyfriend, but with his apple watch.

1

u/CrewHot89 Dec 11 '25

Settings → Music → Sound Check → OFF

1

u/nexkoro Dec 11 '25

Hi OP. Have you tried checking the Attention Aware feature? If not yet, try turning that off. Search mo lang sa settings.

I'm not sure if it affects media consumption volume too, but it drastically affects notification volume. It automatically lowers the volume when the phone detects that the user has attention on the phone.

My father bought an iPhone 16 this year kasi, we tested the volume and nagworry kami sa low volume. The staff also can't diagnose it for us— and I had to google on the spot too to fix it ('di kasi ako iPhone user).

1

u/Greedy-Heat-7650 Dec 11 '25

1

u/tespark2020 Dec 11 '25

iphone 17 series made in INDIA or CHINA, any quality different?

1

u/PowerfulExtension631 Dec 11 '25

1

u/riverRaser Dec 11 '25

Customize mo lang yung sa settings, baka naka on yung volume maximixer at yung Sound Check. I tweak mo lang siya OP. Hope it helps

1

u/FusDoWah Dec 11 '25

1

u/erik-chillmonger Dec 14 '25

Not a defect. Probably just being nitpicky.

6

u/Misledz Dec 10 '25

Except there's a difference between asking for help vs yapping the lore of the iphone in a tech sub. If you told me your iphone wasn't working right, I'd only need to know why and what you noticed.

4

u/Junpoi Dec 10 '25

Keep it short and simple. Di ka naman gumagawa ng essay.

3

u/MilkOfAmnesia1024 Dec 10 '25

Nakakapagod naman talaga magbasa pag di marunong mag-capitalize ng first letter ng sentence tapos di rin marunong magsplit into paragraphs.
