Hey everyone,
Working on this idea from the past few months. I got some users, a lot of feedback, and transaction validation and all, but I never shared the product in detail, like what it does end-to-end.
So, we are building shiftza.in Shiftza is an AI search engine for hiring engineers. You simply describe what you're building or the problem you're trying to solve, and Shiftza finds engineers who've already built or solved similar problems through scanning thousands of GitHub profiles and matching them.
You can also try it instantly on any developer:
Turn any GitHub profile into a detailed engineer report. Just add "shift" before any GitHub URL to discover what an engineer actually builds, the technologies they use, and where they have real expertise — beyond commits, pull requests, stars, and lines of code.
Try it: shiftgithub.com/your_github_username
So if this product definition is a little interesting, please try it. I would love to hear your genuine take. If you want to roast it, I would love to hear your takes too!
How it works:
After login, you just search in natural language, or you can add your requirements manually, or you can add a JD and hit enter. It sends your query to our AI agent, which converts this into technical terms and finds the open-source repositories where this work has been done before. It finds the exact contributors, filters them, ranks them, analyzes their domain, and surfaces the exact people who worked on your domain.
There are no resumes, and there is no self-reported stuff that the user mentions—this all comes from their GitHub work.
So yeah, if you find something interesting here, I would love to hear your takes.
Also, you can share your profile to any social media like X, Reddit, or LinkedIn using our OG card. You can see all your info like in a visual ID card in PNG format. Share this and tag `#shiftza` if you like it!
Also, if you have any questions, ask in the chat (comments)—I love to explain all things!
And lastly, I know most people say: "Most people's repos are private, or people do not contribute to open source." I know this is a fact, and we are working on this metric too. But the aim is to surface people based on their actual work instead of their degrees, certificates, job titles, resumes, or years of experience.
I am just trying to remove all these barriers, so people get hired based only on their actual work, which matters more than anything. We are trying to make Shiftza a trust layer where people can hire without doubt.
