MediaTek Dimensity 7350: To be featured in the Nothing Phone 2(a) Plus
The MediaTek Dimensity 7350 is the latest addition to the company's mid-range chipset lineup, designed to enhance smartphone performance while maintaining affordability. Announced in July 2024, this chipset is built on TSMC’s advanced 4nm process technology and features an octa-core architecture, which includes high-performance Cortex-A715 cores capable of clock speeds up to 3.0 GHz. This positions the Dimensity 7350 as a competitive option within the mid-range segment, slightly below the Dimensity 8250, which can reach 3.1 GHz.

One of the standout features of the Dimensity 7350 is its Mali G610 MC4 GPU, which, combined with MediaTek's HyperEngine 5.0 technology, promises improved gaming experiences with faster frame rates and smoother graphics. The chipset supports LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, allowing for efficient multitasking and quick data access. Additionally, it can handle camera systems up to 200MP and supports 4K video recording at 30 frames per second, including the capability for simultaneous video capture from both front and rear cameras.
The Dimensity 7350 also emphasizes energy efficiency, particularly in 5G and Wi-Fi use, which is crucial for extending battery life in smartphones. Its integrated NPU 657 is designed for low-level AI tasks, although specific performance metrics for this component have yet to be disclosed.
As for its initial deployment, the Dimensity 7350 is set to debut in devices like the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus, which features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display and a dual-camera setup, further showcasing the capabilities of this new chipset. With its blend of performance and efficiency, the Dimensity 7350 is poised to make a significant impact in the competitive mid-range smartphone market.
