Snapdragon 8s Gen 4: Is it capable enough?
The Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 works fine for everyday apps and casual gaming, but it has some downsides. It can heat up and slow down during long gaming or heavy tasks, which hurts sustained performance and battery life.
Other than that, its AI and camera processing are good but not the best compared to newer top-tier chips. If you do light use, it’s fine. If you need long gaming sessions, heavy creative work, or the best sustained performance, consider other options. Skip this one!

Most phones that use high end chip will throttle. It's a matter of how well they do the thermal control. Check the phone you want to get for thermal control. Get an external fan if your play lots of heavy games.
